Gallery Description with URL's?

I tell sequential stories that consist of substantial chains of images and text and would like to provide links so that if someone finds a story that they'd like to navigate through, I can provide the path.
I can provide things like: https://www.renderhub.com/gallery/61455/the-skull-and-spike-inn with some text around it. Is there formatting in the gallery descriptions that would give me forum like formatting so I can have that link read Chapter 2, The Skull and Spike Inn?

Not sure I'm understanding you correctly, but if I am, couldn't you create the link by creating a forum post containing the link as you just demonstrated, then copy the link, delete the forum post, and paste the created and copied link into the gallery URL?

No, that won't work, but this should help since all youi need to know is how to format a link with Anchor Text:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anchor_text
Read the "Overview" section and give that a try, although there's no guarantee that it will work.

Thanks! You're on the trail for what I'm trying to discover. That makes the assumption that gallery descriptions allow HTML. At least in my experiments with it, a description can contain HTML but it is stripped out of it in the post.

Unfortunately, that's not possible with the current system.
There is an open feature request for formatting options in gallery descriptions. I have added a link there to this thread.
Hopefully, we can see this added in a future website update.
