Hello everybody! This is my first post here. I was brought here from the former ShareCG website. Where I was told that this website would replace them. But I am a but confused. I am a Poser only user and cannot find any Poser section here. Is there one?

Not a section, but going into Marketplace and typing "Poser" in the search bar will get you to Poser assets. They exist on here.

Whoever told you that Renderhub will "replace" ShareCG was either themselves misinformed or just misleading you.
There are some vendors here who provide poser formatted products ( paid and free )
however Renderosity is still the best place to find Poser native content.

Fri, Apr 18I think this announcement suggests that clearly... https://www.sharecg.com/b/5/3DModels?PSID=387a17a7f3e9a79b4a77a23faec34b8e
I have to agree with Anabran - albeit with a heavy heart, as I don't like Rendo: you can definitely find Poser content here ... but even more on Renderosity.
But if you're also looking for a friendly community and a nice gallery, you're better off on Renderhub

Fri, Apr 18I have just a very limited budget, a dual Xeon Workstation dating back to 2007, with 36GB DDR2 RAM and a 1050ti Graphics card. And no money to upgrade. DAZ Studio may be free, the hardware it needs to run on is not..... And old Generation 4 content gets huge sale prizes. To really enjoy DS with Iray, you need sh'tloads of money....

Indeed that looks suspiciously like Renderhub literally bought
an Ad spot on shareCG's farewell message page.
At any rate, as an exclusive poser user ,your options for new Poser
content and active community are increasingly sparse
even on Renderosity where the marketplace is dominated by
Daz genesis content and the forums are more like some
nearly abandoned ghost town populated only by the few remaining and somewhat bitter Poser loyalists.

Fri, Apr 18*lol* I think, the message is clear
R-hub isn't satisfied with 95% daz, 4% different and 1% Poser stuff.
And since there were a lot of Poser fans at sharecg, offering them a place here was just logical

As always the content market demand will decide if Renderhub
can improve upon that one percent.
Outside of Generic props etc there is no standard poser figure that any vendor can reasonably expect to result in a ROI.
Unlike Daz genesis the native poser figure market consists
of an endless series of failed third party savior figures.
the latest of which unsurprisingly languishes with
with little to no content support
https://www.renderosity.com/forums/threads/2991748/the-forgotten-potential-of-dawn-2
Now if people wish to use Renderhub as an alternate host site for Poser freebies,, sure why not?
however I fail to see any advantage for
Renderhub if the remaining poser loyalists ,who have Zero interest in Daz studio content or Blender content etc ,just pop in to grab the latest poser formatted freebies and leave.

Another site I think of for Poser content is Fantasies Realm. Only problem is, that site is often crashed and having to be re-built. But it does seem to be full of Poser things when it is up and running.
Ya I think it is crashed these days: https://fantasiesrealm.com/market/

Renderosity sells the Poser 13 software and the most Poser content, historically and currently. LaFemme2 is probably the most accurate dedicated figure for Poser.

Since it's easier to become a seller on RenderHub than on Renderosity (at least to move from selling free products to paid products, with the help of validating administrators), I think it's worth adding a Poser section since there's a demand for it.

Sadly that same was said about "Project E" and all of the other forgotten crowd sourced Poser females now residing in the ash bin of Poser history.
When Renderosity bought Poser six years ago
they should done two things immediately
1) Go to Artstation ,or similar, and commissioned
a pro 3D character artist to create set of premium base figures for poser.
2) Create a comprehensive set of clothing content & morph creation tools inside of poser built to a UNIFORM STANDARD based on their premium base figures.
If people chose to create exotic ,third party figures that work inside poser and support & promote them on their own venues that is fine.
But the Prime focus of Renderosity should have been on native figures they Created, owned and controlled.
Instead they leaped at the chance to grab the free Lafemme figure that was created by a long time Poser Character Artist Named (Blackhearted.)
He "donated" it free as an act of pure spite
to undermine the impending release of Project-E
because he was rightfully enraged that Project-E was given a waiver to be sold at a competing store (CG bytes ) while being openly promoted on Renderosity.
In the midst of this drama and chaos content vendors fled and sought out a figure market that offered predictability and uniformity in the clothing/content creation process and the result is what you see in the attached picture.

As others have said, there is Poser content here - but not a designated section for it.
I have added this to our topic list for our next team meeting. Maybe we can get this added soon.
Thank you all for your feedback.

Only just discovered the loss of ShareCG and am somewhat shocked.
I just checked out the "poser content section" here. Is it just me, or is there just one single page?
Really?
Hundreds of pages on ShareCG replaced by one page?

Mon, May 12Poser users have been coming here for a very short time, which explains why there are few objects in this format.
To be more precise, the date the first users arrived corresponds to the closing of ShareCG.
Currently there are about 160 products for Poser, I tried to make a garment for Poser, I haven't succeeded yet. It's so much more complicated than for Daz that I'm not sure I'll persevere...

Hmmmm
I understand.
The amount of resources ranging from free scripts, textures, materials, figures, clothes and all sorts of others are vast.
Many are irreplaceable.
This is very, very bad news.

- I have to agree with SempieNL , I understood the announcement the same way .. allthough there are some poser items here, it is nothing compared to sharecg .
why we are stuck on even the poser stuff frome decades ago ?? it is simple and good material that can be easily updated with some minor tweaks in textures, etc ... Yes, DAZstudio is free ... having to invest100's$$$ , even 1000's $$$ in hardware however ... impossible for someone like me who's just ''playing'' with 3D as a hobby ....
yes, i've tried the minimum requirements run DAZ .... simply not workable ! not even for simple scenes of 2 genesis figures, 3-4 clothing pieces , and some simple scenery props like a room stool and atable ...
RTX cards are recommended on most DAZforums by users/artists who create decent artwork of a certain level. those cards 500-1500+ $ (not to mentions, processors, RAM, and so on ....
simply not affordable for a hobbyist. so DAZ is out of the question
while LaFemme might be a reasonable answer to Daz's genesis, there is another one !! KARINA's Sasha19
it took me some time to customize and 'build' this base character to my liking, but with all possible added mrophs like i13's wonderfull packs, ERC, MORPHIA, Xameva's, etc ... she is a damn near good equivalent to al genesis.
Sasha can be morphdialed both male , female, kids, adults , creatures etc ... she takes all V4 textures.
clothes and hair might need some tweaking but there are some (easy) workarounds to make clothes and hair fit ....
and sasha is also for free !
With that, I just wanted to say that, despite no ''mass'' item productions and hardly any new products for poser (like DAZ's products are being created by the tons) , to me, poser, with V4.2 >> sasha19 is still as actual and competitive as ever ... and my poser13 runs smoooothly on a 3screen hardware setup with only a 6GB gtxcard ...

For information, I have been using Daz on this PC since the purchase date 2012
here is a screenshot of my current config
It's true that it's slow but bearable slowness

A lot of the poser freebies from sharecg are showing up at Renderosity's Freestuff section.

While I agree that the true hardware costs of working in the Daz eco system is quite high that still does not excuse
Bondware /Renderosity from producing better quality NATIVE poser figures themselves instead of leaving it to crowd sourced, third party figures or modified iterations of 20 year old Daz figures like V4( sasha 16.)
As an animation vendor I supported support V4 as a Renderosity vendor many years ago
and could quite easily do so today as she is compatible with my animation mocap retargeting software from Reallusion.

However this niche market has long since moved on to Genesis
and we vendors have had to move on with it.
