Gonna ask a tough question: What's it like being a vendor?
627Don't know if there's an area that's better suited to have this discussed, but what's it like being a vendor here?
Is it worthwhile? Fullfilling? Lucrative?

Actually for me its been a very smooth experience but probably due to the nature of my products (animation motion files).
I was once a Poser vendor over a decade ago before the "dark times" fell upon poser Poser.
But overall I would recommend Renderhub
for selling 3D products.

It's quite easy to become a seller on RenderHub.
For packages for Daz Studio, you have to respect the structure so that buyers can easily find the product in the library.

On the profitable and lucrative side, maybe some sellers manage to make a living from it, but not me; it's just a supplementary income.
Undoubtedly fulfilling, some buyers gave me ideas and helped me progress when I offered them early versions of the products.

I have tried various platforms and am still represented on a few ones. What makes Renderhub unbeatable for me is the community and the feedback. None of the other platforms offer that. Fulfilling? Definitely
The lucrative depends of course on the quality and / or originality of the products. Basically (for me) stuff for adults sells better ... but here on Renderhub I simply have more fun

I would say it depends on what you're expecting from it, from the standpoint of what you expect to put in vs. what you get back from it.
If you're expecting to drop a regular job and start making 3d models and have cash rolling in and quit your day job for a much easier life with more money, you missed those days. Especially if we're talking Daz/Poser type content. Even the people who I know who have been doing this for decade plus on the Daz store say it's getting harder to make stable money, especially the kind of money they used to make in like 2015 or 2016.
However, if you have a day job you're comfortable with, you're already making 3d stuff for yourself and you want to bring in some extra spending cash, you'll probably be happy with it.
For me, pretty much everything I sell I made for myself or for someone else and then cleaned up and put up for sale, so it's not a lot of extra work. I have a regular gig that covers all my bills and needs. The money I make from Renderhub I jokingly refer to as my "beer and pizza" fund. Of late the monthly income swings wildly.
Long story short; Would not start this up as career or drop a day job for it. If you're already making 3D content and want to put some of it up for sale for some extra cash, you should be okay.
