Following up: If the edit feature would be to prone to abuse, then only make it available when a product update is provided or is requested by the customer.
For example:
I would like to ammend my review for this product because originally it did not work but now after the update, I would like to give it a much better review.

Customers can edit their reviews. They just need to send a message to Support, and they'll send it back. No problem.
I just sent that one back to you. I'm sure the vendor will appreciate it!

Tue, May 20Thank you exactly what I needed. And now I know to contact support. Cheers and thanks.
For certain conditions, there should be an option to update/edit a review.
Some things may be best left for PMs until you get something that best resembles the final intended product. I've had things that have gone through significant updates to where the initially-released version feels like an outright beta in comparison.
