Gallery tags and product galleries

OK, so this stemmed from a different thread ( https://www.renderhub.com/forum/10559/got-to-say-it-the-free-3d-section-on-this-site-is-awesome ), where the idea of products tagged in gallery images appear in the product's gallery was floated. On the one hand, it would make things a bit easier for the likes of me who tags products left and right, as I wouldn't have to tediously upload each image to the included product's gallery. I was asked that question once ("your renders are great stuff, why not submit them as renders for the product?"), and something like that would make that a non-issue.
On the other hand, it could leave a situation where you have duplicate images where the manual upload sits there with the tagged version. In addition, there's also product relevance - there have been instances where I would tag a product, but probably wouldn't include it in that product's gallery because it's something that particular product is just... there... rather than a main point of focus in that particular image. And then there's content sensitivity - in some instances tags may be tolerable, but having it showcased in the product's gallery may be something the producer doesn't want.
Maybe the sudden influx of tagged gallery images generate product sales due to how nice the product looks or just generate eye rolls seeing them all come from someone who's apparently a big fan...
I also know if product galleries are going to be tag based, I'm going to be making a bunch of sudden contributions to various product galleries... LOL
Is this something others would want? I'm neutral on the idea, primarily due to a few kinks that may need to be addressed.

As a vendor, I see the uploading of product images by users as a kind of special thank you: someone makes the effort and takes the time to upload an image with the product. It's like a Like plus a Rocket plus Christmas for me
This would of course be lost with automatic linking ...
What's more, it is conceivable that the uploaded images do not match the subject of the product ... or are simply not particularly great. As a vendor, you can delete product images uploaded by users ... but some users might feel offended by this.
Personally, I am therefore more in favor of leaving everything as it is at the moment.
