Questions about costume making
102I'm trying to make a bikini costume, and I want to make costumes with a metal ring added between the breasts,
Is there a way to maintain the shape of the metal ring in the middle of the costume without deforming it?
As my breasts grow, the ring between my breasts gets distorted.
I wonder how I can maintain the shape of the metal ring without it getting distorted
The brown one in front was made by someone else, but the ring on this one maintains its shape.
The dark brown one is a bikini I made myself, so I imported it and brought it in, but the shape of the ring between the breasts is distorted.

There's a few ways to do it:
- Rigidity maps
- Removing all weightmaps from that area (but will cause other issues with bends)
- Make the ring a static separate object and uses rigid follow nodes to "attach" it back to the bikini. You see this a lot with modern day clothing that uses buttons. The buttons use rigid follow nodes to attach them to the garment and then they don't deform during dforce simulation.
You should be able to find youtube tutorial videos on these.

Fri, Jun 13If you use Google, you can try RFN or better Rigid Follow Nodes. Mada has a nice little tutorial in the DAZ forum
Good luck!
