Hi guys. I'd like to see a pubic hair prop or LIE texture overlay, that simulates pubic hair being visible underneath translucent underware for G8F.

If you have SkinMaker and a little patience, you can do this yourself relatively easily: SkinMaker has a few overlays for pubes that you can use to make an alpha mask. Then put the whole thing as an opacity map on a shell ... and you're done
I use the shell technique here, for example:
https://www.renderhub.com/gallery/69593/if-my-podex-had-eyes
If you have any questions - just let me know

I checked it: there are 8 different SkinBuilder presets. You should be able to make something out of them. If you're not in too much of a hurry, I could show you a first quick example in the next few days.

OK, now you have triggered me after all
Is that what you mean? It's done very quickly now and projected onto a shell - so flat and guaranteed no poke through.
Since - according to your description - it is mainly to be used under semi-transparent clothing, there wouldn't be much need to work with bump maps or color shifts within a base color (black, blond, red, etc).

Thu, Jun 19Thanks, so this is a pubic hair on a geometry shell?

correct, that's the intend.

Thu, Jun 19Yes, I like to use GeoShells ... or rather: my GeoShells
L.I.E. is too fiddly for me.
Interested?

Thu, Jun 19In my opinion this texture will be a success and its variations too

Thu, Jun 19Thank you very much
Yep - if the project becomes something, it opens up a few new possibilities: piquant but not (too) offensive. Let's wait and see

Masterstroke has uploaded a first test picture with a pre-release of my project and his wonderful Roxy.
If you like spicy naturalness, you should take a look at it:

It looks spectacular, and I like that it addresses a specific need- appearing under transparent clothing.

Sat, Jun 21This is a beautiful 2D relief simulation, well done to the graphic designer!
The FlatBush project will be published shortly. Since it is 2D, it offers a few new possibilities for lingerie that cannot be done with regular 3D products. Whether nylon, fishnet or lace - the possibilities for ladies with a spicy natural charm are (almost) endless.
Since I no longer create 3D clothing for GF8 myself, interested DAZ CC'ers are welcome to contact me via PM for more information.

Tue, Jun 24G9 too? I know I might be the only one who loves the new shape a bit too much, but I would buy it as soon as I can if you release it.

Tue, Jun 24Yes, I'm currently working on a version for Genesis Female 9, but it may take a while as I don't have any templates to fall back on. That means: lots of strokes in PhotoShop
As an amateur, I can't quite achieve the quality of the professionals (GF8) ... but on the other hand, the product will be used under clothing, which will (hopefully) conceal one or two things.
Thank you for your interest! That makes me very happy
BTW - the offer for 3D garment makers (see above) will of course also apply to the GF9 version.

Wed, Jun 25You could start by using the body texture (1002) as your template and then apply the template transfer to the genital UV map (for those who might be using the gens, hi hi hi). I'm just sharing some ideas (from one amateur to another), but if you have Substance Painter, it includes hairline brushes that might be helpful. I haven't tried them myself, and I certainly wouldn't recommend investing in it if you don't already have it (Substance Painter tends to crash a lot for me, unfortunately).

Wed, Jun 25My PC and I have something against RentWare - so I'm going traditional with Blender Texture Paint and the legendary PhotoShop CS2
Since I came from the 2D sector (drawings, etchings) a long time ago, it's nice to hatch again

Wed, Jun 25You're on the right path! I've been devoted to Blender for as long as I can remember, and I'm never parting ways with it, ever!

FlatBush GF8 is now in the store
As always, I have put together some information as a gallery picture. Especially in terms of GeoGrafts (cannot be used) it is worth taking a look at the information ... and by using the model Lilly (AshenPortfolio) you might also like the picture:

And here is the project:

I can't see the forest for the trees in this thread (bush joke here) -- will there be a G8F version of this? I'd deffo be in the market for it. Matter of fact was just about to file a suggestion for such a product.
Will it work with geogeafts, too?

Sun, Nov 09There's one thing that stops me at the moment - this absolutely doesn't work with geografts? There is an effect conformer by Causam3D here on the store, "H20 wet skin", as the name indicates it is intended to provide wet skin look but can be used for most any shader effect. It autofollows the genesis shape even with a graft on, so I wonder if that could be used as a carrier for your shell if, indeed, it doesn't go together with gen grafts.

A little additional information about this morning's PM.
First of all: FlatBush is not actually intended to be used with certain anatomical elements. This project is more about being able to use body hair that is partially covered/translucent through clothing. That's why the project is designed as a GeoShell... and unfortunately, GeoShells don't work with GeoGrafts (I just tried it again with Meipe/DAZ AE).
The product you mentioned would not work because it consists of props (the drops) and apparently a real 3D skin.
The only option might be to try L.I.E. I've never worked with it before, but it certainly has its appeal (at least in theory and for grafts that copy materials). However, L.I.E. doesn't work with my project as it stands, so it would have to be a new product.
If any of you have experience with L.I.E. and grafts from Meipe or Laudanum, feel free to share your opinions here
