I'd Like an Honest Critique

I like them, for what they are (pin ups) they are good
what kind of critique are you exactly looking for, about the models, the lightning, the poses, etc?

Of the three, Gestine stands out. Beautiful, great lighting, realism.

Thu, Jun 19Wait, so the others don't have any of those? Or is Gestine your preference? Lol

Fri, Jun 20You've asked for honest critiques right?
So after your reply here I wonder, what kind of critique?
Critique can mean a lot and of course everyone who would answer, would take his own taste with in consideration.
Lyric, the first render is too loud, the second is better but can't hide the missing gravity, so I get, why you used the loud light in the first place.
Scarlett, for my eyes too hard to look at, again too loud color.
Gestine, with every render it's just beauty.
And yes, no need to ask, of course those are my preferences, while others can be blown away by Lyric and won't like Gestine at all.
At the end, it's always personal taste

Fri, Jun 20So you based off of your personal tastes and your own critique, you aren't really feeling the renders I'm assuming? Which is fine, btw.
Also, all three of the lovely ladies I made are pinups, hence the beauty and the loud colors. I go for stylized renders, not necessarily realism. Could be why you aren't really into them.

Fri, Jun 20I am a huge fan of pin ups, but have to admit, the old style
And you were asking for honest critique, so you wrote at least, but in reality it seemed you were asking for a lot of applause and clicks on your render.
Cause, as Carso asked and I did, you didn't came up with an real answer.
Tips have nothing to do with critiques, or you would have asked:
What about light
What about color
What about poses
or what ever.
You didn't, that gave away, what you really wanted.
Sorry that I couldn't give you, what you were hoping for.

For Lyric, the breast looks weird because we can see that there's no gravity to them, they're just floating.
The light setting is also too bright so on her face the places where it's more pink it looks dry, like she need water asap ahah.
Scarlet has a really dark skin tone so using really bright red for the makeup and clothes doesn't look right. (There is also too much red tbh, try changing the clothes color for maybe black ? a different color for the makeup would also be good)
I edited the picture by changing the makeup tone and also added a vignette but it still looks off.

and Gestine actually looks good with the background color... Yup nothing else to say.

Fri, Jun 20Thank you for your feedback, it is appreciated. Not sure I agree with all of it, though (especially the dry skin and the "floating breasts").
Also, there was no need to edit the photos. The explanation was enough.

Fri, Jun 20( I pressed reply too quick. I wanted to add more) To add, I wasn't going for realism with Scarlett. Like a lot of pinup art, many of the women aren't realistic (i.e. Alberto Vargas' pinup drawings). That's also a reason why I used so much red, lol.
