Policy Update Regarding Adult Comics

Policy Update Regarding Adult Comics
RenderHub will no longer be accepting adult comics as marketplace items. The Adult Comics section has been closed, and all existing products in that category have been disabled.
RenderHub's core mission is to cultivate an all-embracing community that welcomes a wide spectrum of creative expressions and themes. However, the content submitted in the Adult Comics section presented ongoing challenges. Despite representing a very small portion of overall site content, this category generated a disproportionately high number of Mature Content Policy violations. Therefore, we've made the decision to remove the section entirely.
We recognize that this may impact creators who were in full compliance with our guidelines, and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this causes.

Thats actually amazing news. 07
The world doesn't need another pornhub anyways. It needs a renderhub. In my opinion the porn is making us look so bad that would be customers are avoiding 3d content/renderhub all together aside from gaming. Whats supposed to be a turn on is becoming a turn off as more people suffer offline with bills and living in general. Nothing like being broke to make ya really start seeing who and what the problems are.
I recommend banning anyone posting content that breaks the rules. Most of them are epstien wannabes anyways.
Good riddance.
Good on you, renderhub. Be the best!!

Renderhub has always had an element of adult content. You cannot showcase figures and digital content without presenting some form of nude imagery. From someone who had R-rated comics in this store showcase, I am saddened to see its demise but I understand. Renderhub has to protect itself from the rampant abuse of simple rules by artists. The problem isn't adult content nor is it Renderhub. The true problem here are the diabolical morons who cannot follow simple sets of rules regarding permitted content. There are just some creators (and I use the term loosely) - who, for whatever reasons - will do whatever they can get away with - repeatedly. Renderhub likely just doesn't have the capacity to review entire comics for violations before they are posted and so as the original post stated - the comics are presenting a largely unequal number of problems. Remember the statement that guns don't kill people - people with guns do? In this case adult content is not the trouble...it is instead those who cross lines with it that are the problem. It is sad that all must suffer due to the refusal of a few to adhere to the rules.

I wasn't going to make a comment on this matter, but this was my experience with the adult comics tab:
I don't work with comics, but i always wanted to sell adult animated videos and here i found a place i could do it. As the website didn't had a "movies\videos" tab, the support instructed me to sell in the comics tab. I love Renderhub, i always felt this website more like a community than a store, so i posted my first animated adult video here, i even asked the support if the video was ok, they saw it and it was approved. My kind of content is soft bondage so it was ok to post here and it's fine if you don't like it. My first video was up, It didn't sold a lot like my 3D products, but i had some loyal buyers, people started sending me messages asking for more, some told me i had talent and i even got hints and a review from an adult producer, i got so honored and happy!
So i started to make more, there was months i didn't made a single sale, but honestly? A sale of one of my videos made me happier than 10 of my 3D products because I developed a passion for making them. Why?
They are difficult to do and take time to make, but in the end there was people enjoying it so it was worth it. I even convinced 2 very known vendors to post their animated videos here as well because they were selling their videos in another places, they did and had fun too!
In May i asked the support if it was possible to create a "Adult Animated Videos" tab to separate the content, they told me in this exact words that they were
"very excited with the new content the website was receiving from the three of us but they still needed more content to create the tab."
That's what i did, i started to make more content, the guys posted more too and i even made one to give it for free because i thought that was helping...
So i believe you all can imagine how i felt when i just opened my store one day and didn't saw my videos anymore, isn't?
If it was another times or if i never talked to the website's support i would think: Ok, fine, let's move on. But honestly? I feel betrayed.
I know i told the support that it was fine, but personally? It's not, i believe trust is the most essential thing in any job, even a freelance like we do it here, so I will always think there's a hundred ways to fix this problem instead of just removing everything. One of the two artists even got upset with me because of this whole situation, and i don't blame him.
If there's people posting comics against the EULA, why not just remove the content and block them to post again, or make the comics need approval before posting? It will take more time? Yes, i agree, but that could be a solution worth trying. You guys can say "Oh GJ but it was happening a lot". Fine, so, if tomorrow a lot of vendors here just get crazy and upload A TON of Daz characters against the EULA, the store will just remove the Daz Characters tab too or will fix the problem removing and block the people that did it? I'm honestly asking...
I know some people will see my comment as funny or ranting, but i don't care.. honestly I don't feel like posting content here personally satisfying anymore... Why?
Well even if my adult content is in fully accordance with the EULA and approved by the website's support and it can totally be removed... why bother?
It's better to invest my time in other things.. congratulations users who threatened my life because you dislike bondage...

Sun, Sep 07I do not like bondage and pornography; I simply do not see the appeal, but that is my personal taste as a happily married person. However, I would never advocate for others to be banned or for their content to be removed. I am really sorry that this happened to you, and I only checked this thread now because of @BeautifulMisfits, whose comics do not even involve sexual content.
I sincerely hope this is a phase and that the community recovers its senses. I think we should be fighting piracy sites, people who steal content and sell it as their own creation, and why not, debating whether there are ways to improve the experience for all sorts of people, but without going to such extremes.
This is not a political point of view (for those that see politics everywhere), it's just common sense.

Sun, Sep 07Thanks for always being supportive Luxe Muse. You are one of the few to see things in my perspective even not being a fan of my kind of work, i appreciate that! But unfortunately I don't think things will become better in the future regarding my kind of content, I'm only seeing things becoming worse. Maybe i will receive some backlash for my opinion and maybe that will make things even worse for me and my store but honestly I already lost my motivation for creating content because of this so respectfully, I don't care anymore..
I still love Renderhub but I will always point this: I opened my store recently, I but had an old account years ago just to buy things here and read the forums and stuff. When Renderhub opened we were in some way the "underdogs" you know? A group of all kinds of people doing what they loved and "fighting" to get attention. They were proud to say in their emails that "We are the only store that permits adult comics!", i will never forget that. That requires courage, I though it was so cool and so challenging with another stores that that made me admire them since the day one. But as they started to grow and started to appear in mainstream media and events, they started to change. They removed the adult comics mention in their emails first, and then started to "hide" adult kind of content more and more. It was like: We have it here, but we won't do the marking anymore because we are family friendly... not even DAZ 3D does that and they own the program, i receive their marketing emails and there's bondage\dominatrix clothes and sex appeal poses there all the time, lol.
I remember years ago seeing a post in a forum from another store saying that they were certain that Renderhub would only survive for 2\3 years because of the competition. We proved they were wrong and that's a great thing, but now that the store is strong and other stores see us like somekind of equals or even rivals, we are becoming just like them, just like what happened to Steve Jobs if you already saw "Pirates of Silicon Valley".
This gets me so sad because i feel like we are not the cool community that do 3D anymore, we are just like everybody else: "Guys in suits selling 3d and worriying with opinions of people that don't even care if we close tomorrow".
I agree with one of the comments above that said that we don't need another Pornhub, i totally agree!
But personally, i don't think we need another Renderosity either...
Sorry if i look angry in my comment, it's because i am, but it's nothing with you and your comment, it's with this situation.
And sorry if some things are out of context, English is not my main language.

Mon, Sep 08From the first post:
quote: Despite representing a very small portion of overall site content, this category generated a disproportionately high number of Mature Content Policy violations. Therefore, we've made the decision to remove the section entirely.
---------------
And because of a small trouble making group everyone who's following the rule has to suffer.
For heavens sake, I didn't even knew, that there are adult comics here and that tells, that this part was good organized and people creating those comics labeled them right.
As for GrapeJuice, it's also new to me, that he/she made those comics but he/she got doomed without having a say.
But yes, I hear you Renderhub, politics and controls and such are getting worse and no one dares to take a stand.
The end of freedom isn't near, it's already past.
Or, as Masterstroke wrote:

Mon, Sep 08Thanks for your comment Beautiful Misfits. Yeah, and i know it's not everyone that likes my content but even being a NSFW artist, i always try to be respectful and do things right, that's exactly why i made a forum post some time ago asking things about the EULA to make sure i wasn't going against it, some other artists even said that i worry too much... but I always pride myself on always following all rules and being respectful to everyone. But unfortunately it seems that even if you're doing everything right, you'll still have to pay the price if others don't.
Bottom line, a company has to protect itself from potential litigation.
But the blame rests squarely on the comic creators that couldn't follow the simple rules. They are the ones that ruined it for the rest.

I'm staring at the offenders judgingly.
And I definitely feel the pain of those who did everything right. Gumroad arbitrarily pulled the plug on my store as part of a larger campaign to bend the knee to authoritarian big finance-tech. Kinda like when Patreon ghosted me before even allowing my page to open, with no explanation. Even though my own material would only count - at a stretch - as silly, wacky hard-R Skinemax (look that term up if it was before your time). You'd think there was some kind of conspiracy afoot to keep me from making money this way or something...
On the flipside, I've taken to only using the Adult filter here when I specifically need it, which honestly isn't often. Clearly, my definition of "hot" differs drastically from some of y'all out there. It's the Renderotica problem: More than twice I've found myself going "Wait, what...? Who hurt you?? Don't answer that..."
From a business standpoint, I get it, especially with fake-moral authoritarians on the march and out for scapegoats to divert attention from the real predators. There's just got to be a balanced middle where grown ass adults can enjoy a little indulgent pleasure in peace, like we live in the free world or something.
