Just out of curiosity: how are you getting on with MD?

When it comes to 3D clothing, I come from (and remain in) the vertex fiddling/extruding and sculpting corner. Recently, however, MD (Marvelous Designer) has been mentioned at every appropriate (and often, unfortunately, inappropriate) moment.
Therefore, I would like to ask you - as producers / CCs who use MD - how you are getting on with it. I am not interested in hearing why one thing is better than another (or not), or that the cloth simulation in MD is better (I already know that myself).
So, how do you approach creating publishable 3D clothing for DAZ (commercial or freebie) with the following topics, among others:
* Tris/Ngons: When I experimented with MD, I struggled with this everywhere. Is that still the case today?
* Draping: MD drapes great - no question! But what do you do with the great folds and such for your DAZ product?
I'm sure I'll think of other questions that interest me. But I think we can start with these few topics, right?

I have the feeling that MD users don't want to spread their trade secrets

Sun, Sep 07ParahRi had already come up with the same idea and will probably get back to us here shortly
Stay tuned

Poor Pushee, it seems like nobody wants to talk to you... mimimimi...
By the way, I agree with guy91600 100%: MD users probably don't want to reveal their tiny little secrets ... even if that's not what you're after.
Perhaps you too should stop spreading your painstakingly acquired half-knowledge about DAZ and Co. in ever new threads, tips, ideas, and tutorials.
Just my two cents ...

Sun, Sep 07Naaa ... if I were like everyone else, I wouldn't be me, I'd be them.
Besides, I enjoy helping others and would be thrilled (honestly) if my ideas, tutorials, etc. inspired others to create products that are far superior to mine. So, anyone can be a giant on the shoulders of the Pushee dwarf ... and I think that's great
And now - hush hush - back into my head. But Avanti!

I have never sold clothes myself, if I make something in MD, I generally do my draping there, rather than bring it in to DS, rig it etc. I do use it for draping blankets, curtains etc that I have used in my scenes. There is a setting in MD, that will output quads instead of tris, that's about the only tip I can pass along lol.

Sun, Sep 07Thanks for the info!
Yes, I know: draping in MD is really awesome, and I've always liked how my meager attempts (often and with different accounts) wrapped around the model. But I never found the right connection to MD. Personally, that doesn't bother me at all - I'll stick with my Vertex shoving

I feel like Anabran gives Blender users a solution to create clothes with similar possibilities to MD!
