Gallery list is wrong!

View the gallery most likes and you will soon notice that many images from many artist are not listed at all. The renders shown are not the correct list of most likes.
Is there an Algorithm being used on the gallery or are some images not listed because the tag (made with zbrush or PS ect) do not load all images?
I can only assume that the images listed as most likes are being promoted as such they will get even more likes and the unseen images from many artist will continue to be hidden.
Is this a site glitch or deliberate?

It seems if I am logged in the the gallery list is correct. Logged out and the listing is always showing the same renders. This is extremely disingenuous or a glitch.

Thu, Sep 11I wasn't logged in recently and was surprised by the gallery. Under the " NEW " sorting option, something different was displayed than after logging in. The wondrous world of Renderhub ...

Thu, Sep 11I have tried playing around with the filter and still get an inaccurate listing for new and most likes. I've tried uploading renders with different tags instead of 3dcoat use zbrush.
I think the tags don't always load correctly. Or it's an Algorithm. I wouldn't imaging RH using that though tbh.

"...View the gallery most likes..." - "...renders shown are not the correct list of most likes..."
The Most Likes sort order is not "most likes of all time". There is a "recency" time component built into the algorithm. If we didn't have that, it would create a reinforcement cycle where new submissions would have a difficult time appearing in that sort order.
To clarify, it is essentially "most likes that have happened recently".

"...some images not listed because the tag (made with zbrush or PS ect) do not load all images..."
This is partially correct. Each user may see something different from another user based on the interests selected in their account settings. As such, you may also see something different depending on whether you're logged in or not.

"...images listed as most likes are being promoted as such they will get even more likes and the unseen images from many artist will continue to be hidden..."
It's actually the exact opposite of that, as I described above.
-----
And for what it's worth, Trending is the default sort order. Users need to manually select the Most Likes sort order if that's how they want to view the gallery.

Isn't that what trending is for? When I want to sort by most likes, I want to see what has the most likes, be it overall or someone's gallery. It's probably for people interested in that sort of thing (stats or trivia), and while that reinforcement and validation cycle can happen, there are reasons (legitimate or otherwise) as to why it picked up steam in the first place. And I'll admit that I have been surprised to see what gets likes and what doesn't.

Sat, Sep 13No, the Trending sort order is completely different. That algorithm looks at more things than "just likes", and the time component is different.
