Hello,
every time I delete a render, people get a mail, that I have used their product or have mentioned them somehow.
So now people are asking me for the correct link to the render and I have to disappoint them over and over again.
The next is, why are all render still in the background to see for me under the red tab "show removed".
Will they disappear after some days, will they stay there for ever?
Thanks

As far as I know, the "Show Removed" renders stay there.
Mine can go ahead and get permanently deleted, since corrected versions have been uploaded.

Thu, Sep 18Well, then I hope, they will be permanently deleted.
Cause if I delete something I really mean to delete whatsoever.

I agree I find it weird, especially with mentioned products getting re-mentioned
Deleting a render to not have it be deleted is also an odd choice

Fri, Sep 19*lol* yes, as if I don't know what I'm doing and don't have any backups on my PC

Since the item isn't actually deleted, I think the correct term is "disabled." The same principle applies to the store. Products are never deleted, but the seller can assign different statuses: Active, Disabled, and an administrator can assign the Suspended status.

Fri, Sep 19No, I'm talking really about deleting all my render.
And every time I delete a render, for what I mentioned a product in the first place, when I posted the render, the vendor will get a notification. mail.
I say, there is something wrong with the system. cause deleting means GONE, gone for ever and for good and not MOVED to a "removed gallery".
And I don't like it to find out, that my deleted render are still in this system here, ready to re-activate at any time.

Fri, Sep 19I completely agree; there should be a choice, offering both options:
*) Disable (in case we want to re-enable the item in the gallery)
*) Delete (which is a permanent action)
*) Disable (in case we want to re-enable the item in the gallery)
*) Delete (which is a permanent action)
Absolutely, deleteing should mean just that , a permanent deletion. It is the user's gallery and if they decide to delete one art work or all of their artwrok, Renderhub should respect that decision, and not be retaining that artwork for ANY reason. The owner of the art work, makes the decision.
Not having the ability to permanenetly delete your own artwork from the site is odd.

Fri, Sep 19100% agree!
Probably another bug... and here's another one right away:
I've been trying to post a somewhat longer text (tutorial) in the forum for an hour (or more). It doesn't work either
I'm starting to get a little pissed off! If RH doesn't want my tutorials and won't delete the images, they should just say so! It's not that difficult!

Fri, Sep 19Some forum have an "xxx letter rule"
Never seen any warning here, cause usual one get a small notification, like "limit is reached" or before even writing the amount one can write in one post.

The "spinning wheel" has been running for quite a while now – nothing else is happening...
Guys, this shxxxt is really pissing me off today, especially since it's an important part of the tutorial...

Excuse the dumb question, but how do you access the "Show Removed" part?
I remember it, I know what you mean but I can't even find it!

Fri, Sep 19Not dumb at all, you only see it, after you've "deleted" a render.

Fri, Sep 19And if you've deleted something you find it at
Gallery -> My Gallerie -> Show Removed (rightmost link in red)

Duh, thank you both, I see it now!
But what happens when you click the "Undelete" button, does it take you to a submisison page in case you need to edit anything, or does it put the submission directly back into the gallery?

Fri, Sep 19I don't have any clue
Just load up any picture, delete it and the click undelete and you'll find out

I know, but I didn't want to do that because it has likes attached to it and I thought it might erase them if I re-delete..
Anyway, I just tried it, and it does put it directly back into the gallery, but there's an "Edit" button on the submission once it's back in the gallery, so it seems you can still edit the submission, but not unless it's actually showing in the gallery..

The "Show Removed" feature was requested by users. It serves two functions:
1. To provide users with the ability to re-enable an item they previously removed for one reason or another.
2. To provide users with the ability to see the reason for an admin removal. (Mature Content Policy violation, incorrect content rating, etc.)
After reviewing the comments here, I have opened a feature request for additional functionality: "Delete Permanently".
-----
Regarding the message center notification for Marketplace Items Used...
That should not be happening, and there is already an open bug report for the issue.
I have added a link there to this forum thread so the coders will see it.
I apologize for the inconvenience while we wait for that bug to be fixed.

Fri, Sep 19Thanks a lot.
It's always good to know, so we don't have to guess
And thanks again for working with the bug

If you're up for suggestions, it would be handy to have a way to edit a submission while it's sittting under removed status.
Editing can be done, but you have to undelete a submission first, and then do the edit afterwards.
No biggie, just a bit weird, so maybe have "Undelete" in the corner as you do now, and "Edit" in the other.

Fri, Sep 19This is nuance, but, just a thought. If delete is not delete, and you add a permanent delete, then I think renaming it to "disable/enable" would make it clear what it's actual functionality is in contrast to the new feature being added.
