Use of Purchased Models
172I am working on my first entry in a renderhub contest. Can a purchased model be used in the scene? If so, what are the rules about citing the source?
Thank you for your time.

Yes, you can use purchased assets, especially models. I'd name you a list of users who've entered in with purchased assets, but it'd take forever. I'm one of them. Just as long as your creation with those purchased models is your own (like, you built your own scene with the assets), then you're all set, so do your best, provide the necessary proof of authorship as required in the rules to be officially considered a candidate, don't use AI for anything, don't take ANY sh|t from a Perfumer (a user), and have fun! I can't wait to see what you got.
Important tip in case you don't know:
Windows button + shift + S to screenshot that proof of authorship (wireframes & DIYs) if you are working with a Windows PC/Laptop.
"Shift + command + 3" simultaneously approximately three times (apparently) if you're working on a MacOS.
Shift + PrtSc if you're working on a Linux, though I have no idea if it even RUNS on a Linux. Still worth noting in case it does.
Yeah.

Tue, Sep 30Yes, correct. If it was purchased/ethically obtained (no pirate stuff), it can be used in the contests, just like anything you made yourself.
Like @gh0stttt said, it's OK to use purchased assets. This is a "render" contest, and not a "modeling" contest.
