Hey everyone!
We're kicking off an open discussion to hear what's on your mind as 3D artists and creators. What do you want to see next year in the 3D world?
New tools or software features? Better workflows? Certain types of content? Trends you hope take off or fade away?
If you have a website feature request or an idea for how we could better serve your needs, please let us know.
This is your 3D wishlist for 2026, so share whatever comes to mind.

Oh boy!.....(Rob rubs his hands with glee and starts pounding away at the keyboard.....)
1.....Please change your forum software. Side discussions starting halfway down the page are hard and distracting to follow. The way most other forums work is fine.
2.....This change would also include the ability to edit one's own comments. I hate leaving spelling and grammar mistakes.
3.....Don't change the way you moderate the forums. We've all seen what happens when overbearing moderation kills a forum...(are you listening Haseltine?)
The way you handled that incident a couple months ago was perfect.
4.....From the 3D world I want a good-enough render engine that's not tied to any specific hardware. I keep hoping for an AI based renderer that would produce 95% of the results with only 5% of the grunt work.
5.....I'd love to see fantasy, sci-fi, skimpwear, and all the game based content go away. I know that this will never happen but I had to get it off my chest. In it's place we'd get real fashions, the sort of items that are all over the net in designer's sites. Throw in a nice selection of those mouth-wateringly gorgeous feminine styles from the 80's and early 90's. Remember those wedding gowns? Ok they where hot, heavy and crazy expensive but they sure where stunning.
6......More magic act items and themes. There's quite a following for this stuff over in DeviantArt and it's great fun. It can be anything from innocent and harmless to 'starting to get creepy'. That's what's so much fun about it.
A prediction for 2026,
Rendo goes bust, you (RenderHub) buy it and turn Poser into what it should have been all along.

Wed, Dec 03, 2025Here's some folks at DeviantArt who make and render magic themed stuff. A few are here too.
https://www.deviantart.com/ms-frankie
https://www.deviantart.com/car26f83
https://www.deviantart.com/vipwildgirl
These will link to others but be careful, it can quickly become too much(?) for some. The general sword-in-a-box dominates with many iterations.
This is the kind of theme that can be explored ad nauseam as the possibilities are endless. I've suggested to a few of them that they sell items here.

I'm with bobb on some of the quality of life changes on the forums... the ability to edit a post, oh - the same tools that are in a regular post (adding images/videos viewable) to a reply.
As for the 3d content - I'll be lurking for replies to see what to make...

Hello everyone,
I have many suggestions, but I will summarize a few of them:
1- Please consider revising the Vendor Tier system. It has become burdensome due to the large number of products that get reuploaded or duplicated multiple times just to increase the percentage (and Im not blaming anyone).
2- On the New Products page, only the latest product from each vendor should appear. This way, the page wont be monopolized by those who upload the most.
3- Give vendors proper control over add-ons. For example, when I upload an add-on for my product, there is an option to restrict downloads to customers who purchased the main item. However, if a vendor does not enable this option, their add-on becomes available to everyone, even without owning the original product.
4- Allow vendors to block specific members. When I block a user, it should not be symbolic; they should no longer be able to purchase anything from my store. This will reduce the amount of complaints about members who reupload our products elsewhere.
I know I've made a lot of requests, but you're the ones who said "This is your 2026 3D wishlist" lol.
Thank you.

Currently, it's a menu that displays all products for sale, sorted by newest, oldest, etc.
If I understand correctly, you're asking for a page to be created for new products.

Thu, Dec 04, 2025...and go to the pirate sites and post the same information. Make a big deal about the fact that they're talentless creeps who have to steal other people's work. I've seen this a few times and some of them go hysterical and stupid justifying their thievery. We could also load items with viruses and shitware in them. Or it would be a simple message saying something like, "Too bad ya creep. This file just stole your bank information and we're wiping you out as you read this."
For a moment this will make them panic and the less knowledgeable will seriously panic.
I wonder if the credit card companies would shut down someone's account if you/we showed them that the asshole was buying item
s to share on pirate sites?

Yes, I can understand your frustration, even though fortunately it doesn't happen to me all the time. But I've also had a few that annoyed me: 3 stars and a comment (for freebies) saying " Sorry, I don't like it " or " When will it be available for G9? ".
I can do without such shit gibbon ratings for freebies. Honestly

Thu, Dec 04, 2025@Bobb: +1 on being able to give vendors a tip, agree that @Excessive is a perfect example of someone I'd tip when downloading a free product.
@EliteDZ: item #3 I agree with add-ons but not required products e.g. I can usually work with products (like poses) without the required product.
Can we make mentions @someone a thing?

I suggested making some of those touches to our house. My wife gave me that look...you guys know the one...

I support the wish for better forum software and prefer one that allows surveys. Not entirely impossible.
And I would be surprised (in a positive sense) about:
1. people working on a clothing simulation, which leaves the work mostly in the hands of the creators/suppliers, not the customers; and
2. Start a dedicated discussion about an own (Daz/3D) system for expiring licenses (it makes more sense to create such as a standard than for each creator to make their own).

Fri, Dec 12, 2025Thanks for asking.
In fact, I was originally concerned with asset licensing (more on that below). But since you ask specifically about the folder structure, which also bothers me from time to time: It would be great if you could use a script when saving assets, that e.g. maps only from.. /runtime/textures/VENDOR/... allows. That specifies a path and a label for Documentation/Readme/.
This would be so useful that it would have to be forbidden to hide it behind a paywall:)
But to my first concern, the licenses. There are already a lot, in sub-points different licenses. Actually, every sales platform has its own. And of course, each creator can define their own. But who does that?
I would like to see one that allows (cross-platform) a creator to say: Here's the release date. 5, 10, 15 years later, you can do what you want with it: distribute yourself, upload, download, rebuild, make your own out of it and distribute, with the exception of A, B or C (e.g.: nothing commercial, just redistribute unchanged...).
According to the model of Creative Commons licenses, but with the emphasis on expiring dates. In any case, I always discover interesting old things that are no longer offered anywhere, the creators have disappeared elsewhere and it would be nice if there was an "Abandoned Assets" license that allows such things to be passed on. Voluntarily and such, of course.

A move to a tag based image board.. the kind where the community can add (pre-approved) tags to an image and we can search based on +/- a tag. This is suggested as an alternative to the growing number of individual galleries you maintain.. the names of those galleries would become tags and I suspect community involvement would help categorize and subcategorize images down to a crazy level of minutia.
My ulterior goal would see you switch to a community tagged (indexed) store; again, searchable via "+" and "-" individual tags..

We just started selling here, so we definitely lack experience, but there are a few things I have on my wishlist:
- The ability to cancel or edit a sale.
When I have to set a sale and read that it cannot be edited or cancelled I'm always scared to make mistakes.
- The ability to set a sale for longer than 10 days.
We run a products launch sale that lasts two weeks, here on RenderHub we have to remember to set a new sale after the max period of 10 days has passed.
- Also, in terms of sale, the ability to run more than one at the same time.
For example, we just started so our Holiday sale, if we create one, will just be 20% off, the same as the launch sale. But next year, it would be nice to have the ability to set a 30% off for older products and a 20% off for newer ones.
- The ability to upload more than one zip.
Sometimes downloads can be really big and being able to offer multiple zips would be nice.
Or sometimes one wants to offer additional optional content that not everyone is interested in installing / downloading
Other things will come to mind
.
Thanks,
Aeon Soul

More environments on RenderHub and a return to kit bash friendly environments in general.
Props not glued to the environment, movable walls, removable fireplaces, optional non-attic ceilings, and logical prop groups. Movable walls is a big one for me, showing or stating that they can be manipulated is a plus.
Transitional spaces (as vignettes) would be interesting; for example, porch to foyer, patio to kitchen, and the "exit stage window" troupe from the 90's (and earlier).
