Foxy 3D made a post in 2023 explaining that "Karma and badges on RenderHub are pretty much just for fun".

But that isn't true anymore. 1,000 Karma unlocks RocketBoost awards.

This is true, and that old post is a nice find. 
For now, RocketBoost awards are the only thing that requires a certain level of Karma.

We have a *ton* of feature requests. Some of them could be tied to Karma, but I don't know when any of those might be implemented.
If you want to, feel free to share any ideas you might have.

I keep going on about tags. Allow users with x Karma to apply tags from a curated list to gallery object and store products to help with filtering.

Re: Karma as a sign of activity.. Would have Karma expire so you get a better engagement gauge.. would need some permanent Karma for Admins, perhaps as rewards, and possibly for some "in memoriam" accounts.

Beyond rocket ships.. allow users with X karma to use a standard emoji instead of a rocket ship as a reward.

Spendable Karma (like Twitch) where you can highlight gallery images you like so they have a specific color border, glow, jiggle, or appear larger for a while in gallery mode.
