We have identified a scam attempt involving an official-looking RenderHub help link being sent through private messages. In some cases, the message includes a fake screenshot showing a fabricated "error" that directs users to an external help page.
The accounts responsible have been terminated, and all related messages have been removed. However, similar attempts may appear in the future using different usernames.
The following link is not an official RenderHub support page:
renderhub . live / help
(spaces added to prevent accidental clicks)
If you receive this link or a message containing a suspicious screenshot, do not go to the link. Instead, please use the REPORT button so our team can review and take action immediately.
RenderHub support will only direct you to official pages on our primary domain. If you are ever unsure, contact us directly through the website.
Thank you for your vigilance.

Have a great day!
Have a great day!

Appreciate that you always warn us, but I have been wondering... Is there any reason you guys keep getting attacked? I don't see this with Daz or Renderosity or even my CGTrader and Turbosquid accounts.

Wed, Feb 25This wasn't an "attack". This was someone trying to scam people. Scammers exist on pretty much every website that has social features or allows users to send messages to each other.
I get bogus messages like this on Facebook, Instagram, DeviantArt, you name it. Other sites might just clean it up and move on. At least RenderHub cares enough about its members to try and help them use the internet safely.

Wed, Feb 25Yeah I agree with JohnnyLuck777, I get messages like this in the other stores too but I think they don't bother telling us or they don't really care, sometimes even when we report it. That's why I like how things are handled here on Renderhub, they are always keeping us informed and talk with the community, that's important, show that they care.

Wed, Feb 25I lost count of how many scam messages I received on DA. It was daily and multiple messages per day.
RenderHub: Thanks for helping keep people safe!
Everyone: Be smart and don't fall for crap like this. There are a lot of evil people out there.

I don't know if this has anything to do with scamming, but occasionally in the "likes" I get alerts that someone likes a particular character in my store. The only problem there is all of my characters are prefaced with GD (as in, e.g., GD Cheyenne) and the characters mentioned don't have that preface or are even names of girls in my store. I clicked on one of those "links" and all I got is an error page.
