If you absolutely MUST advertise using AI, do me a favor...
252I'm getting really tired of seeing advertisements for characters that show them with AI-applied facial expressions.
One of the things I look for if I see a face or expression I think I can work with is whether or not the expression (usually a smile) is included as a morph with the product. AI expressions in advertisements distort the perception of what is possible with a character. Even assuming someone chooses to subscribe to a generative AI service (a big ASS to assume) doesn't mean they'll be using the same one used in the ad, not even getting into the nuances of the dopey "prompt" game.
Do me a favor: Please show me what you're selling, not what fell out of a clankerbot when you fed it a picture and pressed a button. I'm grateful these ads are labeled, but only expression morphs are useful to me. If I want to coax something more out of a face, I'll paint it in myself.

I always thought that AI (slope) enhancement had something to do with the backgrounds or the lighting in the promos. But if - as in your case - a character's appearance is manipulated via AI in a way that the user can't do themselves (e.g., facial expressions), that's obviously a huge scam.

The French legal term is "publicité mensongère," which can be translated as "false advertising."

I didn't realize that people where doing that. I rarely buy characters anymore because they're all looking so similar, but this is another nail in the coffin for me.
On a similar note, Ebay sellers are now increasingly using AI to enhance clothing. I took Ebay to task over this and they had no problem with it. Anything for a buck I guess.
Argh!

I can do AI for free, I'm not paying someone else for theirs. It is kind of obvious which sellers are doing this.

I just browsed a few pages of the store, I didn't see any images with expressions that look impossible to do with the face rig of genesis.

I love ai but that's the one thing you CANNOT do, is misrepresent your product for sale. The image used in your store images for the product should never have ai on it. I can see doing a pass to submit to the gallery and tagging it ai, but you can't do that to a customer looking what to purchase. It makes the product too attractive and you'll want to buy it, because ai is amazing and can make anything happen. Just don't call it slop, it looked better because of ai, didn't it.
