Following the NSFW cleanup, many developers are asking how they can adjust their products (promotions and text) from the now-disabled 18+ rules to the Mature rules. While Renderhub admins refer to the general Mature rules as a guideline... this leaves many more questions unanswered than it answers.
That's why I came up with the idea for this thread, where developers can showcase the products they have left over after the cleanup or describe how they were able to change their products' rating from 18+ to Mature. This could then provide important guidance for others who also need to redesign their products. And with a little luck, maybe an admin and/or Ion will chime in and offer some more specific tips

Actually, I thought I wouldn't be able to find any of my projects anymore, since they were all published as 18+. However, 5 of them had already been changed from 18+ to Mature before or during the cleanup.
Please note: Actually, I'm even a little surprised, since I couldn't have listed any (!) of the products in the SFW section of cgbytes (the parent company of 'rotica'). So please use the following examples only as illustrations of what might just barely qualify for a Mature rating... including the possibility that these projects might also disappear during the next purge.

On cgbytes, I would never (!) get away with using promotional images like these in the SFW section (I can explain the distinction between NSFW and SFW on cgbytes and 'rotica in more detail if needed). To be on the safe side, you should 'retouch' promos of this kind even further. For example, in the first example, a tight-fitting T-shirt or a bra would probably be better. And instead of a thong, maybe regular panties would be better... it doesn't necessarily have to be granny's knickerbockers

Promos like this would disappear from cgbytes faster than I could upload them. That doesn't have to be the case. One option I could imagine, for example, would be to put the model in a GeoShell-either as a full-body suit or a leotard or something like that. In this case, GeoShells have the advantage that they can be adjusted well, so there wouldn't be any overlap / intersetion with the 3D object or clothing.
I'll give you another example in a moment-one that really, really, really surprises me.

9 Hours agoI'm a tad surprised that one stayed also, although there really isn't anything sexual about it, it would help to have some clothes other than a thong. I also bought it just before the great culling (the genesis 8 chair pose one, I'm still not all that much into Genesis 9)

14 Hours agoyep - you're right ... But right now, I think it's more important to maybe offer a little help to the NSFW producers who are feeling discouraged.
Here's an example that should never, ever have been classified as SFW or Mature - not in the gallery... and certainly not in the shop. Because that's exactly the kind of thing the U.S. Taliban 2.0 are just waiting to pounce on.

OK. so I'm a bit confused. I tried to change one of my products to be Mature. My Adult Amusement Park Part 1. There are now no characters in any of the promotional material. All you have are the images displaying the prop, as you can see in the image below. However it was taken down. However I have 5 products that are clearly listen on my store that are much more adult. like this one.

I actually think Ion wrote something specifically for this use case, like 'BDSM props without people = SFW, with people = NSFW'. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find that info anymore; otherwise, I would have included it here as an Ion Tip.
Anyway - in your case, it might really be due to the text. Foxy3D wrote ('somewhere', again) that the promo images AND the text is taken into account

Yea, as you can see here. it does have candy colord dildos. I'll try and change the text and see how that goes. However it might not be possible to sell content like this anymore on Renderhub as many of my products rely on seeing the naked girl being sexually abused in the machine. It let's the buyer know what they can do with the product.

I've already mentioned here and there (including over on the dark side) that I'm not a fan of BDSM and the like.... That said, I would agree with you that without a person, the object might come across as a bit bland.
So if you want to post it on the dark side, you should still keep the SFW/NSFW rule in mind—that is, you should create two sets of promotional images and text. Post the first set (SFW)—which doesn’t include people and has moderate text—first. Put the second set (with people and all the trimmings) in the overrides. That would be the set that would be displayed on 'rotica for interested users.
