Load in front of camera.
110Umm... I don't quite understand your question, sorry! So please don't hold it against me if I describe something here that you already know, okay?
So, a) you can easily align the camera (in Camera View) with the object. Just use the View: Orbit and View: Pan options in the upper-right corner of the Preview window. In Camera View, you can also use View: Vantage to get a frontal camera position.
b) Also in the camera view: select the object and use View: Frame (the rectangle icon with the + sign in the middle) to focus on the object in the camera view.

One cigarette later: I think I know what you're asking
So-let's say you have a very complex scene that you're already viewing in the camera view. Now you want to insert another model-in such a way that it's visible in the camera view, rather than where it would normally be loaded (which, depending on the scene, could be far outside the view).
Just click on the model, hold down the mouse button, press the ALT key as well, and drag the model into the scene. You'll see a red circle indicating the approximate position. As soon as you release the mouse button, the model will be loaded at the selected location.
Sorry for the misunderstanding earlier: it's just too hot in my study
