Take my hand... (CLOSED)

He'd been lost in the freezing and bitterly cold forest for hours. Winter was deep here, and so was the snow that covered everything. He was at the end of his strength. The cold had won. It had penetrated to his very core.
He couldn't feel his hands, his feet. Not even his arms or legs any longer; all he could feel was the biting cold. He was shaking terribly, when suddenly, he felt very calm. His incessant shivering had finally stopped. Sleepiness swept over him like a warm blanket. His eyelids nearly frozen shut already, finally closed. He stopped moving forward, he teetered a little bit as the call of deep slumber called to him.
It's ok, just go to sleep. Everything will be better. You will be warm and peace will fill you. Sleep...
He let out a very weak breath, as he fell to the snowy ground. He lay there unmoving, except for his shallow breathing. All he could hear was the slight breeze moving through the trees. He lost track of time, lost track of everything.
He just, laid there. Lay in the deep snow. He knew slumber was close, so close he could feel it washing over him, like waves moving up a beach.
He couldn't fight it anymore. He just wanted the cold to stop; to be warm again. Sleep. He knew he shouldn't, but he couldn't fight it. He finally gave in and stopped fighting to stay awake. He just didn't care anymore.
Just as that last deep slumber was about to overcome him, he felt a "lightness" approaching from the direction he had been wandering these past few hours. He could feel warmth! Real warmth moving across his face. He felt it getting stronger, and he could see light; a brightness, coming through his eyelids.
Suddenly, he heard a soft, lilting voice very near to him.
"Weary one, wake up. You must not slumber here, or you will never awake." Her voice sounded like a warm gentle breeze. It felt so peaceful. He struggled to open his eyes and when he did, she was standing there before him, like a gorgeous vision of mercy. She was bent over towards him with her hand outstretched towards him.
"Take my hand, and I will lead you from here, and you will know warmth again." She smiled ever so slightly; so sweetly. He struggled to prop himself up on one arm and he looked up to her shining face.
He could feel genuine, miraculous warmth on his face, he could feel warmth returning to his body. It's like the light she gave off, was penetrating all the way to his soul. A single tear slid down his cheek as he started to raise his hand towards her.

Sorry about the image being the 2nd comment, I realized when I hit submit after the narrative part, that I forgot to put in the image. I tried to go back and do an edit, but couldn't find a way to edit the first post, so I just did the 2nd comment with the image in it.
