I thought I would try a Christmas/religious themed one. I considered calling it "NavStar Ver 1.0: Eastbound" but it seemed a little too cheeky. I realize that this is a fantasy illustration. You could make an argument for fantasy with the story line, but then that opens up a philosophical can of worms - good reason to avoid religion in posts, but oh well - 'tis the season. Here is the thumb nail and the wireframe (A hidden line with an overlay of the iray preview tinting the wireframe) Post work was mostly in the heavens - combining a couple sky domes and adding a flare/halo to the star. A few nudges on the one robe were done and a highlight render pass to accentuate the starlight on the foreground figures was also added.
