The intention of this logo design was twofold. Simple clean lines and a strong direct message.
To elaborate:
This Logo has the word No and the acronym AI (Artificial Intelligence) combined in one logo that is in same time futuristic, but it heavily leans on historical propaganda designs used in Great War, WW II, etc. I used sharp angles and thick lines to deliver a direct message and to deliver how strong and resolute that message is. Instead of using overlapping lines to depict crossed line across the letter AI that line was moved to negative space so it's possible to read the word NO and then the acronym AI.
As shown in visual examples this Logo works in all color and monochrome combinations.
I strived to make an easily recognizable sign and emblem, but at the same time, I avoided any likeness to other historically questionable or sensitive signs and emblems.
In the end, this logo design shows the level of artistic and emotional involvement represented thru this Logo that shows strong emotions of artists towards randomly generated images of AI platforms that only emulate art and creativity.

But FYI - It looks like you must have missed this part in the official contest rules:

Here I'm offering an actual design solution that is in my opinion much superior to the original logo, All pictures above are 2D composites. First four were made in Adobe Illustrator, and the last two were made in Adobe Photoshop.
By now you should know that all my visuals are complicated and grandiose.
Final 3D render that is featuring this design for the logo is about to happen and there I will include a wireframe.

I must admit. To this day I'm still perplexed why none of my previous entries for the first 3 RenderHub competitions didn't get even to the honorable mention section. They were really complex to realize, visually appealing, full of surprising details and easter eggs, and in the case of the first two competitions (Grafitti and Halloween) I dare say far better than some of top 3 winner artworks.

After putting in so much effort, it's natural to feel disappointed.

Design Heretic, you are obviously a talented and accomplished artist. The render is beautiful. but for me, it sends a mixed message. Also, the logo design is very clever - maybe too clever? For me, it does not immediately present itself as "NO AI." To interpret it correctly, I have to look at it for a few seconds.
For someone like myself, who strongly feels that AI is a threat, I guess that I prefer to see a logo that is less ambiguous.
But that no way detracts from your artistic abilities. With your talent, you will go far.

Sun, Apr 30, 2023It's all about art and design. The greatest compliment to the artist is a discussion about the artwork. If there is no strong reaction to art then the artist has failed to deliver a message. Discust is as strong as awe, and hate same as love.
Nobody knows what is going to be going through the judges' hearts or heads when they sit down to tally up points or however they are going to score things, but that notwithstanding, let's be honest, on composition alone this is the standout piece of the contest.
You can't see me doing it right now, but I assure you I am clapping slow and dramatically.
