Problem with textures in Daz Studio. (CLOSED)
114Hi all.
I have a problem that I can't understand the cause of.
The textures are exactly the same.
The only difference is one letter in the name.
But this affects their display in Daz Studio. I had similar problems in older versions of Daz.

Has anyone experienced this and what could be the reason?

! REPORT
Could you take a screenshot of your surfaces settings for each and post them? Especially in the settings dedicated to Emissions, Glow, Luminance, etc. I would like to see if those settings are identical before attempting any assessment.

Mon, May 29, 2023They do not have different settings, except for a copy of the glow map, but with different names. When assigning a diffusion map, I have cases that it has increased brightness.
But as soon as I change the letter or number in its name and assign it again, the color of the card returns to normal. I don't change any other settings.
That's exactly why I'm going crazy.

Mon, May 29, 2023What about the file formats, are they the same? Because you will definitely see a discrepancy between jpg, png and bitmap, depending.

Mon, May 29, 2023Everything is the same, the second image file is a copy of the first one. All that has been changed is the last letter in the file name. RocEarring_G_A.jpg
RocEarring_G_K.jpg
The file format is not affected.

Mon, May 29, 2023What did you use to copy the file itself? I have had it happen sometimes with Daz texture maps that the color encoding needs to be converted depending on what program you use to open the original file. Gimp will give you a prompt asking you if you would like to convert the file for example, so even though the file format itself has changed, to encoding is different. This in turn will change the bit depth of the copy and sometimes it will lose the feathering associated with subtle coloring. Or did you just copy and paste the initial files right in the folder?

Mon, May 29, 2023Copied, pasted, renamed the file, assigned to the material. It looks like Daz Studio is just buggy, something that doesn't happen often, but it does happen.
