Technically everything is based on something with nearly every entry or model created being based on something else aka 'references'
Art is based on references as are cars, schematics, recipes, laws, fashion, innovations etc..
A render of war - based on solders, artist looks at pics of soldiers is he copying the government's army cloth design and stealing their tank designs ? lol
A 100% unique render / animation then must be something no human has seen before and the contents is 100% new to mankind
