In this vision of the future, a devastating war between androids and humans has left the human race (all but?) extinct.
The surviving androids live in an unemotional and faceless "society", lackluster and cold compared to the diversity the humans provided.
But not all androids seem to be just some heartless machines. This android remembers the laughs of the children, the smell of flowers the humans described to them.
From time to time, this android visits an old street painting miles away and lays down a rose in memory of what is lost.
The face in the painting reminds them of a gentle woman whose child the android used to care for. But now the painting is all that's left...
