In an alternate future, where humanity has decided to physically merge themselves with their technology, the human capability has increased many folds.
With the inevitable advances in AI technology, the rise of the humanoid machines as a species of their own were bound to happen.
However, the machines still tirelessly served humans, making them a very lucrative resource and therefore a good business on the black market. The machines wanted to be free, but was not able to become that without the approval of the humans.
Then.. One man decided to make it his life's work free all the enslaved machines from the hands of the criminals that were selling them on the black market ...
