Here is my submission for this contest, also there is an awesome Halloween story following this render. Check it out!
Revenge of Dracula: Blood is not enough
In the somber folds of the Carpathian Mountains, the village of Ostrov rested, a fragile peace settling upon its cobbled streets. But, as nature herself would soon reveal, the stillness was merely the calm before a tempestuous storm. The untimely demise of Count Dracula's beloved, a tragic victim of the village's frenzied prejudice, had awakened a rage that transcended the boundaries of death and life.
For many a fortnight, the neighboring hamlets whispered of nocturnal shadows and grievous disappearances. Rumors, laced with dread, spoke of the Count's resurrection not merely a thirst for the crimson life force, but an unquenchable desire for retribution. Some, relying on reason and logic, dismissed these tales as the fabrications of troubled minds. Yet, the vacant chairs around hearths told an ominous tale.
Sequentially, those very souls who had orchestrated the vile demise of the Count's bride found themselves ensnared in his vengeful grasp. Mayor Grigorescu, once a vocal critic of the supernatural, was discovered lifeless in his chamber, the macabre signature of two puncture wounds on his nape telling a chilling tale. Father Ion, the spiritual beacon who had sanctified the mob's assault, lay cold and desolate at the sacred altar's feet.
As the days dwindled and shadows grew more profound, Dracula's vengeance knew no discretion. No longer did he seek refuge in the obscurity of night. The beast, once a man, took his revenge beneath the very gaze of the sun and moon. The town of Ostrov, clinging to collective security, found itself amidst a horror most profound one fateful eve. A chilling mist, nature's own shroud, encircled them and from its depths, the tragic figure of Dracula emerged, clutching the remains of his lost beloved.
"In your blind fury, you tore her away," he declared, eyes ablaze with an ethereal fire, "and thus, I shall rend asunder all that you hold dear."
What transpired that night was a ghastly tableau of horror. Homes once filled with warmth lay in ruin, families once united were now shattered, and the vibrant square transformed into a mausoleum of silence.
Dawn's light unveiled the devastation of one man's grief turned wrath. Ostrov, now a monument to the Count's fury, served as a harrowing reminder of the cost of ignorance and prejudice.
The neighboring villages, haunted by Ostrov's fate, fled, rendering the landscape desolate. The once-mighty Count, having exacted his revenge, found it to be a bitter draught. Bereft of his love and surrounded by desolation, he withdrew to his ancient abode's confines, forever to be tormented by memories of a love that was, and what could have been.

It's very atmospheric, just like a vampire render should be. Would not want him near me one bit. Good work.
