Below is the short story for the scene I am proposing for this contest.
This render was further improved in Affinity Photo 2 using the "Depth of Field Blur" tool, especially on the ground.
About the story:
A young prisoner watched in horror as the old witch cast a spell on the skeleton.
The flame in the witch's hand grew brighter and brighter, until it became nothing more than a blinding ball of light.
The bones of the skeleton began to glow, and then they began to move.
His skull opened his eyes and a voice filled the air.
"Take this prisoner's life and set me free."
The prisoner screamed as the skeleton rose to its feet.
He was tall and slender, with sharp teeth and claws.
The atmosphere became cold and oppressive, and the wolf began to howl.
"Now," whispered the witch, "it is time for the final sacrifice."
The prisoner closed her eyes and waited for the end.
She felt the wolf's warm breath on her face, then howled as the wolf's teeth shredded her carotid artery.
