Sometimes, as an advanced DAZ user, it is better to disregard DAZ conditioning (= "something is done exactly this way and that way"). With third-party products, always take a close look at what the CC describes - either in the product description and / or - if available - in the readme files that come with the product.
I had a similar problem for a short time yesterday (the product had neither ratings nor user images - i.e. I didn't know if it was working or not). But after reading the product description thoroughly (!) it finally worked.
