Archive vs My Downloads? (CLOSED)

Is there a difference between these two? If I archive something, will it be preserved even if that item is removed from the store? I noticed a couple of items that I bought are no longer available at all. Luckily, I kept copies offline but I'd like to preserve them online too if possible.

My Downloads is an active front page, archive is a place to stick things on the backburner, like that freebie you got that one time and then afterward were like "meh," and you don't want to see it on your list anymore, but just in case... They both store the same, even if the item is removed from the store.

Sat, Jan 06, 2024Ah ok, I was hoping there was a way to preserve items that got removed. Seems kind of messed up to have paid for something and not be able to download it again.

Sat, Jan 06, 2024They both stay, permanently, unless there's a critical problem with the product. Foxy could probably explain it better.

Sat, Jan 06, 2024I'm definitely missing a couple of products that I assume were taken down for copyright.
@korpinsulat is correct. "My Downloads" and "My Archived Downloads" function the same way.
The archive allows you to clean up your downloads section so you can keep track of things you may not have downloaded yet.
The only reason a product would be removed from your downloads is if it was subject to a DMCA Notice of Claimed Infringement by the copyright holder.
Per the DMCA, infringing products must be removed from the marketplace entirely, so they cannot be made available for download.
Please see section 9.5 of the Terms of Use for further information on that:
