The Water dragon (CLOSED)

I don't have anything clever to say or a story to relate. A seaborn dragon and a mermaid going for a swim...that's it.

Maybe 'The water dragon and the mermaid' may be an alternate for the title, imho=).
Some subtle fading out of blue texturing to the sides (on the wings), would even do the dragon more justice (just a suggestion).
Good nature render and I wish you luck.

Thu, Jan 25, 2024Thanks for the tip, but I have no illusions that anything I can do to this wouldput it in any kind of position to even get a mention. Any additional work would just be a waste of time, since this image stands zero chance of consideration. Not sure if you've noticed, but with all the competitions I've seen thus far have been won by pros with all the bells and whistles of image manipulation, I don't have the money to afford that software and I've not seen anything to convince me that renders without said post work has ever stood a chance of winning. I'm not complaining, I enjoy doing the work and always wish the winners good fortune, but I can't afford winning render software.

Thu, Jan 25, 2024Don't get discouraged yourself ninjxc =) I liked your previous rabbbit themed render. You might achieve great results with simpler renders
as well. Like you said; it's a good place to showcase your work as well, where we can appreciate your thoughts of your renders. Sometimes it's the the idea that counts up to some extent. You should be open to surprises as well. We would like to see your fun and imaginative renders from time to time. Those pros started as newbies as they had experience over time too. Don't loose hope and look into the bright future.
With the best of luck friend.

Fri, Jan 26, 2024I'm not really discouraged, I see it as not kidding myself. I know my limited technical expertise isn't up to scratch, that's why I enter the competitions, to stetch my understanding and technical ability.
This is a wonderful image the blue Dragon stands out well against the green and the bubbles and fish are a great idea, I got an Honorable Mention for my snow angel and there was no post work at all on that image completely made with Daz Studio only. My Horse and Fox image were also Daz Only no post work at all. My tip would be play with the lighting more in Daz Studio it is amazing the difference lighting makes with shadows ect I also buy a lot of my items in the sales I could not afford to carry on if it was not for the sales...I wish you good luck my friend
