I don't know sure who's the devil , but I'm sure this is one of a good render especially capturing the moment of her standing at the age of the cliff

By the way, as I was looking at this recent render, do you think my title has a similar name to your other render '"Jia Chen" Year (Year of the Dragon) that I noticed now, would be a problem or is it the idea that counts. My title says 'Year of the Dragon' since I couldn't think of a more creative title, just gave this simply, not giving it much thought. If you're uncomfortable with this, it's perfectly understandable=) Addition to your statement; humanity may not only destroy animal species, but itself too.

You doing a piece on the Chinese dragon dance? There is a term called "Dance with the Dragon" which sounds more poetic. For your consideration.

Sun, Jan 28, 2024Thank you. Yes, something on those premises =) I think they might have different animal dance routines depending on what year it corresponds to.
I remember lion dance for the year of the lion as well, including others, correct me if I'm wrong.
'The Lion Dance is performed to ward off evil and bring good fortune. The Dancing Lion is accompanied by a drum, a gong, and cymbals. Lion Dances are performed during the Chinese New Year, at grand openings of new businesses, and at weddings and birthday celebrations'.
So Lion and Dragon are probably the most outstanding ones.
The only mythical creature on the list of Chinese zodiac animals is the Year of the Dragon. As well as symbolizing power, strength and good fortune.
The Traditions of Thailand, Khon, Thai Masked Dance, monkey dance is a whole different issue on the similar subject (may somehow seem irrelevant but good to mention).
Maybe this would be an opportunity to remember how precious animal life is to our ecosystem as well, with reference from your render asking who is the evil.

Love this: coherent colour scheme, good composition and story telling. From the wireframe I see that there was a building behind the lady. Maybe this would have added even more depth (but also may have needed a different cropping, then destroying the composition). Very cool, good luck with the contest!

Mon, Mar 04, 2024Thanks mate! You have a very keen eye. You are right about my consideration on the cropping, was torn between keeping the building and showing more of the dragon. In the end I opt for the latter to have a constrast of scale between the 2 characters. and to better match the "ironic nature" of the theme. It is audience like you that understand the artist that made this site and its competitions so enjoyable. Thanks again!
