Here's an important improvement suggestion for the RenderHub marketplace. Please implement a feature that allows to buy items as a gift for somebody else. Either directly by a respective button at checkout or indirectly by providing gift certificates, which can be bought and whose gift code can be then forwarded to another user who can enter it at checkout.

I second this thought. Having a way to buy a product to say "thank you" to a favorite artist or vendor is a much-needed feature. If that is not an option, gift certificates and allowing them to be redeemed by another user could be used. The gift certificate would also allow friends and family members not on Renderhub a way to support a vendor or artist, or just a nice present for a birthday or holiday.

It's true that it's a good idea, I don't know if I'll use it but I understand that some people might miss this feature.
If one day I benefit from this functionality by receiving a gift, it is obvious that I will use it!

Great suggestion--especially the gift certificates.
I'ts something i will bring up to the owner.
As of now we do have an option for an artist to gift a product of their own. You simply contact support with the link to your product and the username of who you would like to gift it to. It must be your own product that you have created.

Wed, Feb 14, 2024Thanks. Yes, I know that and it doesn't help in this case. I'm also not a vendor. I was talking about general gift certificates that can be bought and used by anyone and can be redeemed for any product in the store. So we all need to wait until this feature has been implemented.
Yes, I want to buy gift certificates from Renderhub.
There are stories about PayPal and credit card services either declining purchases or influencing site moderations policies at other 3D and art based sites. This doesn't sit well with me.. I have been using store bought gift cards; but those are being declined or scammed with growing frequency. Gift certificates/store credits would be another way of keeping my shopping cart out of some mega corps analytics.

Where do you get this information from? If this comes from social networks be wary because they are vectors of fake news, which is why I closed all my accounts, I know that for Facebook I had to involve a consumer association to have the effective closure. For the others, if they are not closed and destroyed they remain dormant, I would no longer look at them.

If the bank or issuer (for gift cards) labels both the site and Corn as too risky, they will deny the transaction. I feel safer already.
