Lily awoke to find herself hanging chained between two stone pillars. Several fires burned in front of her. Realizing where she was and why she was there, she cried out for help, but her cries did not draw help. They drew the dragon instead.
As the dragon emerged from his lair, teeth-bared and a look of delight in his eyes, Lily's cry intensified. She hoped desperately for someone...anyone...to hear and come to her rescue.
