Hello Everyone!
Here is my Submission for the "Lore of The Dragon Render Contest"

I love dragons and I love 3D Art so this contest is like a love letter for the most majestic mythical creature out there.
My Idea was to symbolize the year of the dragon as a new beginning, a rebirth, if you will. I chose baby dragon sitting near its mother's claw to play around with scale and to emphasize on the contrast between maturity and a child-like wonder and hope.
I hope this resonates to some of you as it did to me.
WIP Details
I tried to find a baby dragon models but couldnt find it. I knew i wanted to do a closeup akin to National Geography-esque animal photography with very close FOV and tight focus, so I had to make sure the details really pop. I decided to make the two models from scratch
I modelled and did preliminary blockout in Blender, and sculpt it in Zbrush before texturing it in Substance Painter. It was rendered out of Marmoset Toolbag.

THUMBNAIL

Thanks for reading and wish me luck!

How sweet and well put forward. Looks like you did a research on your work as well.
Just look at those cute baby's blue eyes, just staring at you, what a cuddly little thing he is. : D
Wish you good luck, besides this good render.
