I used Poser and V4at the starting point of the project.
Then transfer all the assets to ZBrush for sculpting refining and assembly
for rendering i use OctaneRender the standalone version
wireframe version
for for better transition between the objects and the background I used a VDM file at the bottom of the rocks

Good use of vdm as they're better and flexible than alpha brushes. The manga style is so well done like an illustrator. Looks like you're experienced in the field more or less. My best wishes with this delicately detailed exquisite work.
