Gallery criteria (CLOSED)

Just wondering what are the criteria used to put an image gallery into the Strict, Moderate or Off category.
I uploaded some images that are sci-fi themed, that don't have anything to do with nudity, yet they don't appear in the Strict category.
How are the images being chosen to fit into a category ?

Thu, Apr 11, 2024Yes, but after I just post an image, when I select "Strict" in the gallery settings the image does not appear until after a while.
Strict, Moderate, and Off are not "categories" that images are put into.
They are SafeSite settings that users select, to control what kind of content they want to see.
When you submit a gallery image, all you need to do is select the appropriate content rating.
When SafeSite Strict is selected, I see all three of your gallery images.

Thu, Apr 11, 2024Yes, I did that
But when I configure the gallery settings, sometimes the image I just posted does not appear when I select "Strict" in the form for the gallery.

Thu, Apr 11, 2024I'm not sure why it wasn't appearing for you - but all three are appearing correctly now.

Thu, Apr 11, 2024Yes, they appear as they should now.
Thank you for your answers and explanations.

It used to have a few more options in terms of what the content rating should be. Sometimes it can also be a little bit complicated because a render may be borderline or just difficult to place.

Thu, Apr 11, 2024Exactly, that's why I asked about the criteria to categorize an image as safe for everyone or not.
I dont care about options save or not. If I dont like a picture, then I doe not clic on it. Some users are known for pornpics, so I let them lay behind.
Also if I like a pic, then I made my clic on the likebutton. For extra liked pics, I give one award.
That is my simple way to deal with, no need to change the form of Render Gallery for my opinion,
Is just 4 fun

Thu, Apr 11, 2024Yes, but at least for me, the default is strict and maybe that's the default for many people that don't know how to set their gallery options, and if there are many people in that situation, an image won't appear for them unless they change the gallery settings.
They won't even know that an image has been posted, as they will think those in the strict category are all the images in the gallery

"...maybe that's the default for many people that don't know how to set their gallery options..."
The default SafeSite setting for all users is "Moderate". People have to intentionally set it to something different.
I wouldn't really worry about it. Most users have their SafeSite set to Moderate or Off.
And, as has been discussed - all of your images *do appear* with SafeSite Strict selected.

Oh, OK, I thought that Safe was the default.
The images appeared in the Moderate mode just after posting them, so that is OK.
Thank you for the explanations.

Thu, Apr 11, 2024Strict (or safe) is default for people not logged in (for understandable and obvious reasons). As mentioned above, most have it set to something else.
If an image gets noticed, great; if it doesn't, oh well. There have been times where I've been surprised over which of my images got the likes.

Fri, Apr 12, 2024So it's Moderate for logged in and Strict for not logged in.
I thought it's the same for everyone, no matter if they're logged in or not.
