GLBThe Space Station (CLOSED)
138
The astronauts will be in the space station for two months. Today some of them are going for a space walk as a part of their training and research. The tecchnicians will also look for damaged solar panels and make repairs or change the mechanical parts if necessary.
''Any time an astronaut gets out of a vehicle while in space, it is called a spacewalk.
The spacesuit worn for spacewalks outside the International Space Station is called the Extravehicular Mobility Unit, or EMU. NASA calls a spacewalk an Extravehicular Activity, or EVA, so this type of suit is often called an EVA suit''.
