Stillness (CLOSED)

Very good title to sum up your entry in one simple but effective word. Liked the hazy dream style along with what seems like the front half part of a gondola much like the curved butterfly turning into a gondola shape with an oar, in your signature of user avatar : - )
Wishing good luck for your entry too !!...
''Unlike punts, Gondolas use a single oar to propel the boat forwards, rather than using a pole to push off the river bed. The use of an oar means that gondolas do not need to be on shallow waters. Oar is called 'remo' and sits on an oarlock 'forcola', which allows multiple positions of the oar''.
''Single oars are used both to propel and to steer the boats, which are built curved a bit on one side so that an oar thrusting from that side sends the gondola in a straight line. These sleek yet ornate boats typically are about 32-35 feet long (avg.10 meters) and five feet wide (1.5 meters), and weigh about 1,100 pounds (about 500 kg) .'' The gondola can carry a maximum of 5 people, including children.
