Where is it easier and faster to make a negative form? (CLOSED)
106Hi guys. I really need advice from you. because there are very few lessons on the topic of negative form mold on the Internet.
What program can I use to make such a 3D printed shell for a silicone mold? I started doing this in Meshmixer having the required stl model, but the result was unsatisfactory.
and so I need to print a plastic shell so that I can then fill the mold with silicone.
I would be grateful for any tips and help. I want to make my own mold.

That's an interesting problem.
I don't know why MeshMixer has failed you. So I don't know whether any other mesh editor would also fail you.
All I know is Blender. In Blender I would try the Solidify modifier to produce the mold thickness. Then I would use Boolean modifiers to add clamp flanges and interlock notches where I want the seams to be. Then perhaps the Boolean modifier again to make the seam cuts. Then check for and eliminate non-manifold geometry with Blender's add-on for doing that. Then export as .stl with Blender's add-on for doing that.
