Hi! Hi! ^-^))!! to everyone. I want to participate in the RenderHub Contest "Reflections", with a photograph. 
I hope you like it and it scares you. <3 jiji

"Consuming, confusing" Photo
Text: "I thought I was than finally safe, mentally healthy. But again, the same feeling of terror began to invade me.
The streets were suddenly empty. There was no one around me. The reflection of the mirrors was slightly distorted, glimpsed in my own reflection a monstrous image. There was that being again, looking at me impassively and disturbing me.
I began to walk, but everything seemed to freeze. My legs were heavy and barely responding.
And she began to approach...".

Looks like a definite contender for first place, I am especially impressed/inspired by your rain effects, this is a great resource as reference material for me, as I have been working on a realistic rain effect for my own work, but it seems as though I still have a long way to go!
Also, the sombre lighting is a perfect setting for this tale!

Well, For me personally, the rain, for some reason, weighs too much in my render, so I only left the reflection and fall effect of the rain as a render, on the ground. I used: Instant Rain By Dreamlight ; For the rain, i used the motion blur in photoshop, in the stuff: Ron's Rain By deviney. I sed the same for the splashes, are really good for work in post process, in ps.
My advice: allow yourself to make mistakes, as many times as you need and whenever you do something (think about what you like), don't think about whether they will like it or not, or whether it is more or less in demand. In the end, each artist expresses something very different, that makes us unique.

Thanks for the advice/info yeah, it's a tough balance, doing what I want to achieve as an artist, and how the audience views my work, because if I try too hard to please an audience, then my work will become derivative to the point of mediocrity, but if I'm too unique, only a select few will view my work, so yes, it is a tough balance, as we are all unique!

Looks like a thriller and suspense with psychological aspects. Feels creepy as you seem to build up the tension with your story.
A slow build up of tension soundtrack could also give this one, a taste of an uneasy feeling, besides, a more of a horror sound clip. The horror aspect in the music seems to shout out everything right away, while a slow build up of tension in tone, could have a more and a longer restless feeling on the audience. The music might've been your good choice all the while, as you planned out the story along with your render.
The red lanterns seem to follow the lady in the umbrella, in a ghostly way, unattached, which kind of gave me a creepy feeling.
Well done and good luck : - )

So, I got what I wanted. The truth is, with these types of photos, I feel in my element. The whole development was fun.
I uploaded it in 4k so the details could be seen better. The original is at 8k... but it's a shame not to be able to see it closer here. There is no zoom! T.T))!!
