Product Naming Tips for Daz Content Creators

Product Naming Tips for Daz Content Creators
We've seen quite a few product submissions lately with bad or insufficient product names.
This is costing you money from lost sales.
Bad Examples:
Mary for Genesis 8
Jane for GF8
Samantha
Summer Dress #5
Bikini Bundle
Sexy Lingerie GEN8 Female
Model Poses for G8/G9
Dancing Poses
Why is this bad?
Because you're missing one of the most important things: The commonly used name of the figure your product is made for.
When customers browse the website, they like to see this information at a glance.
When they don't see this, they may be just passing on by your product.
The product name is also extremely important for searches - both on RenderHub and the search engines.
The figure is very often included by users in their search phrase.
If the commonly used name is not included in your product name, you won't rank well for that search.
Good Examples:
Mary for Genesis 8 Female
Jane for G8F
Samantha for Genesis 9
Summer Dress #5 for G8F and G8.1F
Bikini Bundle for Genesis 8 and 9 Female
Sexy Lingerie for Genesis 8 Female
Model Poses for Genesis 8 and 9 Female
Dancing Poses for G8F & G8M
Feel free to use either variation of Genesis 8 Female / G8F, etc.
Customers will understand either, and an equal number of searches are done for both.
You should do this for your new products moving forward, and edit your existing products.
You may see an increase in sales because of this simple change.

I'll chime in on this and add another thing...
Add your vendor name prefix to your product titles!
for example my last few product names are: 3Dl Anastasia for Genesis 9, 3Dl Pandora for Genesis 8 Females, 3Dl Iris for Genesis 8 Females
This helps when multiple vendors have the same name for their products, (most common for characters) and it also helps out with SEO (Search Engine Optimization) also is helpful if you put that prefix or your full vendor name in your product page keywords
Best practice is using 3-4 letters, so as I am 3DLoki I use 3DL, Foxy could utilize Fox, Foxy, F3D or FX3D for examples

I've called a product "Charlie for Genesis 8.1 Female", but has been reported as "wrong name". Where is the error?

Tue, Sep 03, 2024It looks like that one is a character morph product and should be named as such. Use something like:
"Charlie Character Morph for Genesis 8.1 Female" or "Charlie Morph for Genesis 8.1 Female"
You can see how the other vendors are doing it here:
https://www.renderhub.com/3d-figures-and-assets/morphs/character-morphs
"Charlie Character Morph for Genesis 8.1 Female" or "Charlie Morph for Genesis 8.1 Female"

Sun, Sep 22, 2024I see you fixed them, but you should use proper title case. Capitalization matters in titles.

Thu, Sep 26, 2024RenderHub makes this extremely easy for people to get right. All you need to do is turn on Autocorrect.
I can't post an example in this sub-reply, so I'll post one for you below.

Tue, Oct 01, 2024Hello, I don't want to create a topic just for that, I didn't find "TopoGun" in software used in the gallery. I don't know if it is still used a lot given the countless number of retopo addons on the market.
