Flame Red Flamingos- A Rhapsody of Reflections in the Sunset (CLOSED)

A Flamboyance of Flamingos
A group of flamingos is, most amazingly, called a flamboyance. Both flamingo and flamboyance come from words referring to fire. Flamingo comes from the Spanish and Portuguese flamengo, literally, flame-colored. Flamboyance comes from French, meaning to flame or flair. -dictionary.com
The name flamingo comes from Portuguese or Spanish flamengo ("flame-colored"), which in turn comes from Provençal flamenc a combination of flama ("flame") and a Germanic-like suffix -ing. The word may also have been influenced by the Spanish ethnonym flamenco ("Fleming" or "Flemish"). The name of the genus, Phoenicopterus, is from the Greek phoinikopteros, lit.'crimson/red-feathered'); other genera names include Phoeniconaias, which means "crimson/red water nymph (or naiad)", and Phoenicoparrus, which means "crimson/red bird (though, an unknown bird of omen)". -Wiki
I made use of the crimson red flamingos of the Caribbean.
Caribbean islands, Caribbean Mexico, southern Florida, Belize, coastal Colombia, northern Brazil, Venezuela and Galápagos Islands.

Very nice and I would also add, mesmerizing cinemagraph you made there!
Equally like the red and green chromatic contrast of the elements and the Chinese-like painting elegance of your composition.
May the good luck be with you!

Sun, Jul 28, 2024Thank you very much. I appreciate the kindness and your observations add so much more meaning as a person who has spent a great deal of time observing the sea which I didn't have the chance. Other thing I'd wish for, was seeing the flamingos in real life perhaps, although it would be hard unless observed from a distance. I had this idea of their reflections over the waters, which seem like delicate movements of shadow and light reflected through the shallow banks closer to the sandy shore. On the other hand, your work has been a real inspiration for me, with new ways of achieving desired results.
I wish for your success in your future works and best of luck with your entries so far!
