Thu, Aug 15, 2024His craziest trick would have to be to try to overturn the character creation contest that's ongoing, because that has WIP posts up the wazoo, and since the guy's last sob fest was over there not being enough angles and proof, it's impossible to go wrong with that contest.
Absurd, are they joking with us or where is the competence? THEY DON'T EVEN FIT INTO THE MINIMUM RULES ON REFLECTION, much less can they have a 50% success rate. It's simply politics, it's not the first time. I apologize to everyone who I encouraged to participate in the contests.

Fri, Aug 16, 2024Renatodalle, what's wrong with you.
You want to be part of the Renderhub community so badly by
constantly drawing attention to yourself with your posts.
You praise yourself, with your years of experience in graphic design and 3D modeling and how you always delve into the subject of the contest to make the most accurate image possible.
But to be honest, I personally find your work to be of very low quality and always contains many errors and inaccuracies.
So I don't think you are the person to give a good opinion about other people's work.
You also want to be friends with everyone, but I have never seen you congratulate any of the winners.
So with that said, in the context of the "Reflections contest".
How about some self-reflection.

Fri, Aug 16, 2024Utmost respect for you sir... Your on point observations and overall perception just made my day!
Some people forget that respect, acknowledgement, friendship and personal praise are hard-earned attributes that no one can attribute to oneself... So, a fair amount of self-reflection is always healthy to anyone.

Fri, Aug 16, 2024I think what renatodalle is trying to say is he read the rules and took them literally. He made something from scratch with real renders of reflections instead of using Photoshop with multiple renders. I must admit it is frustrating as I used up so much effort doing the same.

Fri, Aug 16, 2024Rough translation for VilinFXHub incase you didn't know, I'm not sure if this is fully accurate:
\|/
"VilinFXHub - "In the land of the blind, he who has one eye is king" - I have posted many works built at the beginning of my career in this hobby, if you are attentive and pay attention to my pages the models have been reformulated and posted again with a 2024 stamp I really have little time in this area, only about 7 years, but I have dedicated myself only in the last 2 years, as I have been a marketing professional for 30 years, in this area I have more than 36 awards and recognitions in the world, in 3D I am still in the field. I started, but it has already earned me some recognition that you can find on my social networks. - The Good One made my thoughts very clear, it is the least that any balanced human being expects."

Sat, Aug 17, 2024Modesty adorns a person.
Those who are always looking for attention and recognition and brag about themselves are often trying to compensate for their own insecurities.
A truly self-confident person does not need attention or recognition, they know who they are and what they are worth.

Congratulations to all the winners of the Renderhub Reflections competition, a well deserved win.
There were many great entries and of course art is very subjective and it all depends on your personal preference.
My personal preferences in this competition are:
- Beachlegs
- Dariscm
- s7s.
Well done and just enjoy being creative in a good way.

Fri, Aug 16, 2024Thank you kindly for considering my entries among your preferred ones...
I definitely concur that art in general is subjective and has a lot to do with one's personal exposure to genuine art and study of art in general which forms in the long run our personal esthetic preference...

Sun, Aug 18, 2024Renatodalle, I read your (now deleted) post from yesterday where you addressed me by the name VilinFXHubSex.
I don't know what you meant by that, but it shows what kind of person you are.
I assume, looking at your profile picture, that you are an adult and not a 12 year old child.
So you are fully responsible for what you write.
I see this as an insult and it shows a great lack of respect on your part.
Also, posting in Portuguese instead of English causes confusion, because your post probably won't come across clearly.
It's clear that you have a hard time with criticism, but you are the one who criticizes others first and judging by the many posts you've made, you like to be a "firestarter" by posting about the rules and value of the contest and accusing Renderhub of not being transparent enough.
But when someone comments on your post about how you think it could be different or better, you don't respond.
You have also stated multiple times that you will no longer participate in the Renderhub competition, but you are still submitting multiple entries.
Try to understand that things in life don't always go the way you want, there are multiple factors that can determine an outcome.
So, regarding the Renderhub competition, if you can't handle it, just leave.
Honestly, it's not that hard, just make your image and you might win or you might not.
There are worse things in life.

Sun, Aug 18, 2024I only made one post in this new character contest called "Natura" showing poses, gesture control, mesh, accessories and even a simple video to encourage and give suggestions to other artists. But after what happened I deleted the entry and deleted everything. I put the short video on YouTube and it is still visible in low quality.

Tue, Aug 20, 2024Seriously, this is how you respond to my post.
It seems like you only read one line, and again you try to play the victim and promote yourself at the same time.
You are truly unbelievable.
I honestly don't know who or what gave you the impression that you are the one who can encourage other artists, give suggestions or even teach them about 3D modeling or graphic design or whatever.
All this while you still have so much to learn yourself.
And how stupid can you be to discredit Renderhub by telling people that you opened an account with CGTrader because you and they focus more on quality etc. (well, with your input that will be a lot less now)
Try to understand, Renderhub, like CGTrader and all the others, is a business and a business is meant to make money, not to please you, it's that simple.
Also, one of the reasons Renderhub is holding a contest is to promote itself, by doing so it gives us, as artists, the chance to promote ourselves as well. So even if you don't win a prize, you can still be in the spotlight.
I'm telling you, with an attitude like yours, you're only going to be disappointed, over and over again.

Congratulations to the winners and all the participants for the beautiful works presented, as for the judges, probably, after having chosen a work evidently modified with AI in the previous contest (giving an idea of little competence), it would have been nice to post 2 words on the reasons that led the judge to give preference to a work, it would also be helpful to the artists

Fri, Aug 16, 2024I agree, some feedback would be nice. The rules need to be clearer and taken into account. I'm now confused as to how much Photoshop should be used. My understanding was it was a render reflections event and not a PS event. I could have saved myself so much work and time not actually rendering real reflections. Very frustrating.

Fri, Aug 16, 2024I also struggle, we are talking about reflections, there are artists who have dedicated time to setting up a lighting to have reflections, but the judges reward something else, they rarely take into consideration the difficulty or the software used, the time dedicated or the development of a concept, so I find it interesting if they explain to us the point of view that led to this decision, only to improve the contest and not to create misunderstandings, having said that, congratulations to everyone, I have seen many fantastic works

Fri, Aug 16, 2024I had another entry.
A broken wedding photo on the ground, the glass reflecting the happy couple 10 years later arguing in the reflection. I could not get the lighting right , it looked unnatural. It took ages trying to get that render but failed. I should have just Photoshop'd it. Same with the dad teaching his son to shave, I could have Photoshop'd that too.
I will sell the model of the broken wedding photo for a quid or so. lol
Congratulations to the winners, there's some great images there. I commented on a few and genuinely like the piece. However can we please make it crystal clear what the limits are and what is expected from us. The whole wire frame thing is a big enough pain in the arse already and has changed or restricted my workflow many times. Some feedback, a point system, community vote, I don't know but lets try understand these events better. Hope that the new event will give us some feedback at least for the top 10.
I'm not moaning, I'm concerned. We have a rare and unique event every couple months. I don't have the answers but some site dialog would be good so the regular active site members know it will be worth the effort.
The last point I will make is the new event was a "modeling event" it's now quickly becoming a daz morph competition. I am very reluctant to finish my entries made from scratch. That's a lot of work when a ten minuet morph could easily win. Some reassurance that the effort will be taken into account would be nice. Define the rules a little clearer. I would like to make a morph, at least i could sell it after the event.

Sat, Aug 17, 2024In Daz you just set the screen shader to wire and take a screenshot.

Sat, Aug 17, 2024I disagree,
Your never going to please everyone. there's no easy way to judge these events. Honestly I have been confused after every event so far as well as frustrated. However there is a more constructive way to deal with things.
I am standing on middle ground here but I do want to complain, I feel at odds with these event now and may not bother going forward. I really hope the current character event is something that can resolve the frustrations for the site. If there's a thread about competition ideas point me to it. Lets discus it there.
I'm doing the character event because some of my friends are taking part. It's worth it for that alone.
