Hey everyone! My name's Elle, I'm (very) new here, excited to join the community, and really excited for this competition!
I've never really shared progress pics of my work before, and it's a little embarrassing (but also strangely liberating).
Is he a God, is he a mad scientist, is he a wizard? I don't know yet, but I do know that he only has 1 goal: to create the perfect plantain.
I blocked out the basic character yesterday, and I'll be focusing on sculpting the hand and skull next.
I hope everyone is having a great day!

Dr M WIP! I've added hair, textures and really focused on building the background and his world (I know this isn't a background competition, but I just can't help myself :') ) I also believe his banana has finally reached *Peak Plantain Performance*, but it may also destroy everything so y'know, swings and roundabouts...

I've been working on sculpting and texture painting Dr. M's very handsome face, although I have gone back and forth a few times between this texture paint and the original procedural texture... hmmm... all opinions are very welcome!

Sticking with the texture paint, which I'm really enjoying! Although I'm having an issue where the rendered viewport won't update unless I save the texture paint image, which is annoying... it updates in the solid viewport, just not the rendered. Anyone have any ideas?

Adding some shape to Dr. M's lab coat, with the plan to re-render the front, back and side views for his case file (which I deleted my previous post of, to replace with the new version, forgetting that I actually need to do the stuff first :') )

Thank you so much, again, it really means a lot. Although I'm not sure I'd call the suspense fun haha, it's definitely fun seeing all of the other entries come in! And I certainly had fun making Dr. M.
I'm tempted to start another character (that's itching to get out of my brain :')) and also tempted to start an entry for the Halloween comp, which may make the time pass faster!

I enjoyed the process, learnt a lot and hopefully next time will play out differently for everyone who missed out, there were some entries I was really surprised to not see in the top!
