I would kill for information on how to sew that belt in MD. Haven't even finished a PureRef for clothing yet, everything's been building up in a folder. So much crap going on

Tue, Sep 10, 2024Slits can be problematic, especially on a stylized figure. But I am well aware of zippers. They're great until you bring everything to somewhere else for retopo work.
I can see in your example that the pattern is a little too tight, which is what makes the slit "bow out" instead of drape. It's more exaggerated on a stylized figure, so you have to modify the pattern to better fit things like super-wide hips in relation to the waist. I'm better at it now and have updated software.
