A song that touch my feelings is from Rod Steward:

All the pornographic and kiddy figures koming up the last years are not
my interest and idea for rendering and beauty. So many real good pictures
goin under and are overseen by users in the mass of nudes here. Some people

This page claims to be family friendly, but it's absolutely not.
If one can enter this page only in safe or strict mode, it's not family friendly. Cause even with blurred pictures, over 90% blurred out tells a lot.
If you wanna go nude and porn, there is renderotica and for sure many other places.
Render with children, wearing clothes for grown ups, in poses more than obviously provocative and sexy. It's not enough to blur this render, they should be deleted and banned!
And this flooding with nude render, not beautiful nude, but boring always the same, with bosoms so big, that it is disgusting, but for sure just perfect for just this one special industry, porn!
So my question is:
Is this page ending in exactly that industry?
And I wanna have an honest answer.

Wed, Sep 25, 2024It has a place, and there are times where I'm in the mood for it (and other times when I'm not). I'll admit - it can get kind of old fast, especially when you're going through the general gallery and not the mature-only gallery or an artist's gallery who tends to specialize in that. People are going to upload what they're going to upload, and people will look at what they'd like to look at.
Some of that may also be part of certain artists feeling a bit at home here after being chased off stricter sites.
Either way, there's certainly a cycle that's snowballing (probably been for a long time TBF) when it comes to renders and items. There's plenty of enough content getting made to make renders of that nature after all!

Even though I mainly work in the mature sector, I agree with you 100%. Much of what is shown here blurred (and sometimes not even that) has little to do with family-friendly or cultivated eroticism. I probably make more exceptions than you (if only because of my job) ... but when it comes to children, violence, torture, humiliation or misogyny I could puke (really).
That's why I set up another account for my ! dark side !, where I publish pictures and products - and always as NSFW, so that the items are not displayed in the regular gallery.
All in all, I'm actually quite happy with the Renderhub system ... even if it sometimes annoys me a bit to have to switch back and forth between Strict, Moderate and Off (depending on my mood) and the many blurreds sometimes get on my nerves.
So: if you have an idea for the admins and post it here, I'm 100% with you

I have put up for sale some adult items and I will probably do others since they sell rather well.
I understand that this displeases so I suggest a solution, create a 2nd specialized site for this kind of objects and images quite simply.

So that this second site does not start empty, it would be necessary to take the existing RenderHub and sort it out.

From my point of view, it would be easier to build on the existing filters (which give us the blurred images), but then proceed exclusively and not mixed. I.e. if someone wants to see family-friendly, only family-friendly will be displayed. If someone wants to see NSFW, only NSFW will be shown, etc.
This way, every user could consciously decide for themselves what they want to see.

Sat, Sep 21, 2024Doesn't have to be a separate site. Things can be separated on the same site, much like restricted Forum portals. The only issue with that would be that those certain products would be harder to find. But paramount is that RenderHub needs to stick with a certain "identity" whatever that may be.
I solved the problem my way
I don't look at the gallery anymore, just "My Hub" to see what's new from the people I follow.
It's a shame, I know I miss a lot of things, but on the other hand, what a lot of time saved seeing things that don't interest me...

Sat, Sep 21, 2024That's what we all end up doing eventually. Unfortunately (or fortunately if I look at it another way) I don't follow enough people on here to consider it. I'm mostly into goth stuff, fashion, anime drawings, and chibi stuff. There's almost none of that here. Seems 1/3 of the recent stuff is cyberpunk. Very boring and played out to me. I have a very old folder on DeviantArt called "Starship Porn" but almost nobody does renderings of starships and such anymore. Would kill to see it anywhere. But, most 3D and digital galleries get inundated with nudity and fetish porn now. So no matter the filtering, there's too much of it so we "self-filter".

I'm not going to say "too much" about the subject here in this thread. And those who have known me for a while, absolutely know that I am against things like censorship. I recall making a stand against it elsewhere, and being raked over virtual coals for it. I've inherited certain DeviantArt groups for that very reason. And it's one of the reasons why I took down my Renderosity gallery. Renderosity would have marked my latest Bianca renderings as having nudity because of lace panels, despite nobody being able to see anything behind the lace.
But there's still an issue. There's a conflict in RenderHub's gallery. And I'm not talking about "illegal" stuff. Without going into detail, RenderHub is an asset store with a gallery; not a gallery with an asset store. I'm not gonna spell it out for you all, but you all should get what I'm saying. Do we want to be another DeviantArt? Or do we want to be another Renderosity? Or maybe we could strike a balance like.... ArtStation. Anything "erotica" should be completely separate. I "ride that line" in some eyes, but I rarely cross it. Eating lollipops while topless is about as far as I go. That's something mangaka call "ecchi". A bunch of what I see in the gallery here goes way beyond "ecchi". Some of that is defined as "ero" or "hentai". I've seen stuff that made me feel physically ill, to the point where I had to hug a toilet, but I stand by my aversion to censorship. Think of my opinion being akin to the back room of the video rental shop.
My recent art post didn't bring up this specific argument, but it *is* a symptom of the greater problem. By the way, while I have never been accused of making certain questionable art, a peer of mine was railroaded off of DeviantArt and Renderosity despite his character being clearly and visually an adult. His character just happened to be a petite realistic Asian girl telling a visual story with an animated, knitted ragdoll. I'll never, ever forgive the community that ran him off the internet. As for me, I can say that if a child does see my art work (and many have), generally what I get is "I want that Barbie, she's pretty" so I think I'm doing something right.

Sat, Sep 21, 2024I can agree to this, I feel off now posting anything -hentai- to the gallery, so I post that elsewhere, just difficult when all if not every product I have is definitely NSFW, kicking that type of content from renderhub puts alot of people in the Mature Section out of a job.
Whenever I get a sale, I never know where the renders go, nor do I really know where to post... I always want to see the creativity of people using my poses but just.. where... other than slushe, its crap..

I think it's nice that there's a little something for everyone here - people here for the adult-oriented content can get their fix, people here for the family-oriented content can get theirs, and people for general content can get theirs. For the most part the adult-oriented stuff is sectioned off fairly well (the marketplace is slightly better at this than the gallery IMO). Borderline stuff can get complicated, as people have differing standards as to what goes where.
As for younger figures, my ROT has been "if they look underage, they're underage" - there's no way to verify age after all (they don't come with any sort of verification). After that, it's determining if they can look/do that out in public or to a general audience. Anything past that it's on the consumer.
And over here you have things like violence/gore and cultural/religious sensitivities.

I can change dozens of platforms, but for this way of thinking I will never feel at home anywhere, you tar everyone with the same brush, not all nudes are the same and not all nude artists make pornography, art and nudity have always gone hand in hand, I also don't like certain images, especially if they depict children or teenagers, but as said, not all are the same, this way of thinking, causes many of my works to be censored, nude works? No, normal works, where a cleavage or transparency is sought, personally, I observe the works of others, trying to understand the artist and judging his work without preconceptions, I can understand the normal user, but the artist and those who manage the platform, no, after the nude, who will the finger be pointed at?

Some of you know that I have a second account for my naughty stuff (if you didn't know, now you do). And although I like to frolic in the oases of virtual carnal desires, I understand those who don't - or at least don't want to see it explicitly (albeit hidden behind the blurry fig leaf). Sometimes it annoys me myself when all the great, family-friendly works that can be seen here are buried under an avalanche of fig leaves (see above) ... especially when those pictures have as much to do with eroticism as I have to do with domestic work (namely nothing).
OK, as described: second account as a Schmuddelecke (*) in which I wanted to make myself comfortable and which only those who are interested in non-church comtabible material should find. So far I have uploaded 22 images (promos and teasers) and all are rated NSFW / 18+ by me. Thought I was on the safe side ... but no way!
When I open the gallery of my alter ego with this (Pushee-Ri) account, I can see all the pictures even in strict mode (although hidden behind the fig leaf). As if that wasn't enough, 5 of the pictures aren't even hidden - i.e. are re-classified as family friendly (but not by me). When I noticed this automatic change for the first time, I even deleted the corresponding image and set it as NSFW again - only to see it classified as something else again a short time later.
What the heck .... ????
Long story short: a big apology to everyone who fell into the admin/machine knows better trap with my pictures - I'm really doing my best to stay in my Schmuddelecke (*)

Even if it may read like that: No - this is not shouting and whining. We've already exchanged a few PMs on this topic and I know you're working on the problem. For me personally, these little quirks make Renderhub even more likeable ... and maybe, maybe, maybe you will get this nice little problem under control soon.

So far I have uploaded 22 images (promos and teasers) and all are rated NSFW / 18+ by me. Thought I was on the safe side ... but no way!
When I open the gallery of my alter ego with this (Pushee-Ri) account, I can see all the pictures even in strict mode (although hidden behind the fig leaf). As if that wasn't enough, 5 of the pictures aren't even hidden - i.e. are re-classified as family friendly (but not by me). When I noticed this automatic change for the first time, I even deleted the corresponding image and set it as NSFW again - only to see it classified as something else again a short time later.
What the heck .... ????
Long story short: a big apology to everyone who fell into the admin/machine knows better trap with my pictures - I'm really doing my best to stay in my Schmuddelecke (*)

Even if it may read like that: No - this is not shouting and whining. We've already exchanged a few PMs on this topic and I know you're working on the problem. For me personally, these little quirks make Renderhub even more likeable
... and maybe, maybe, maybe you will get this nice little problem under control soon.(*) Schmuddelecke: A German term that has a slightly different meaning depending on the context. In this / my case, imagine a bookshop where there is a small, hidden section for adult literature in the far corner ... and where men disguised in raincoats, hats and dark sunglasses browse furtively through the displays. Sun, Oct 13, 2024I've followed several censorship (*) discussions here (including one post of yours, I believe). I now strongly suspect that some form of software (image recognition?) plays a role in addition to human admins. I can't explain it any other way ...
(*) Censorship: I wouldn't really call it that. As I wrote, I find the Renderhub system somehow likeable precisely because of these quirks on a level that I don't quite understand myself.

Tue, Oct 15, 2024From what I understand the works are reported by other users, at least this is one of the few explanations received, in the meantime my concern was well-founded and this post has had its negative effects... I see that we have already ended up in the back room, the speech is simple and honest, if here you prefer to show and highlight a certain type of art, you must be consistent, even when you publish your book you must use those works.

OK, I uploaded one of my WIP pics yesterday as PasahRi and rated it NSFW / 18+. Although it's a nude picture, the pose covers most of the sexual characteristics ... but the model has a big shot of that fluid on her thigh that usually participates in creating new (albeit small) human beings.
When I just - logged in as Pushee-Ri with Safesite: Moderate - wanted to look at your latest artworks, my picture was visible in the gallery despite my assigned rating ... and it's not even blurry.
So: a big apology to anyone who doesn't want to see these kinds of pictures. I'm really doing my best here to save you from that. Really!
