Hey everyone! I am a bit late to the contest, but I started designing my character. I had an idea for a story about superheros set in a fantasy world. Here, the abilities would be very primal and look painful to use. This character has the ability to light his body ablaze, turning it to a charcoal like substance. He is similar to a human torch with what he can do with his abilities, however the difference is after he finished using his abilities, he needs to heal from the burns he commits to himself. This takes time and sometimes, the burns don't fully heal after using an ability.
I have a decent concept done, and will be making adjustments as I go on this coming week. I am also making some other outfit designs to get the best fit for him, I want his clothing to seem expendable as if when he activates his abilities, he knows that his clothing can burn. I will also show this through the burn marks on his clothing and ash smeared across his skin and clothing. While I finish the concepts I began some anatomy sculpting. I mainly focused on the face, chest and arms as those will be exposed under his outfit. I plan on doing most of the fire work through the textures.
