Daz Studio Update CTD

Has anyone else experienced issues with the new update crashing and failing completely?
I accidently downloaded the new update for Daz. I was holding off because I'm still running Windows 10, and the Invida drivers are not available for Windows 10. However, when I was installing a batch of new assets, a new update snuck into the batch and installed while I was using studio. When I attempted to save a clothing preset I had put together, the program crashed. Not only did it crash, but it completely vanished. Both my desktop shortcuts quit working, saying the path was missing. I checked manually, and the entire program was gone. Only the folder remained. I attempted to reinstall Studio, but this caused a bluescreen crash a few times, until I did a complete uninstall of Daz all together. I reinstalled IM, then reinstalled Daz and all of it's plugins, but can't find the program. I clicked the launch button in IM, but it doesn't do anything.
Because I'm not a computer savvy person, I'm completely out of ideas. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers.

The default path is
C:\Program Files\DAZ 3D\DAZStudio4\DAZStudio.exe
I never use DIM because I don't like automated installations that hide everything from the user.
So I download the DAZ installation in ZIP format
I connect to the DAZ website
I select the MY ACCOUNT menu
and then Product Library

In the list I chose

This allows me to choose the installation directory (a subfolder of C:\Program Files\DAZ 3D ) which allows me to use the latest version and version 4.12
In summary my version 4.12 is in the folder
C:\Program Files\DAZ 3D\DAZStudio4.12
and the 4.22 is in the folder
C:\Program Files\DAZ 3D\DAZStudio4.22
As DAZ Studio settings are in the user's local folder I have the same interface for both versions

Thank you for your response. Showing me where I can access the older versions of Studio was a big help. Now I just need to figure out why when I attempt to install them, dazstudio.exe is missing.

Tue, Oct 01, 2024Sometimes they detect a odd behaviour but it is only a false positive, though if it is the case, then you should launch a scan, just in case of.

Wed, Oct 02, 2024That was exactly what happened. Though, after I restored all the content from quarantine, things just went downhill from there. Long story short, I'm back up and running. Thanks
