Mugelin Rivarn

Story of Mugelin Rivarn
Mugelin Rivarn, a dwarf with very ancient elven roots, possessed horns inherited from his grandfather, Fergus Rivarn. These were the result of a tragic evening when, in a state of heavy drunkenness, he lost a card game to a stranger, unaware that this stranger was a sorcerer. After throwing out a few insults like confetti, the sorcerer, also drunk and a bit touchy, offended by the remarks, cast a curse on the grandfather in a fit of emotion and alcohol, a punishment that would pass down to his descendants.
Mugelin's life was marked by the weight of this curse, which his father felt as a shame. Obsessed with finding a way to lift the curse, he spent his life searching for the sorcerer, leaving behind a bitterness that Mugelin refused to bear. Having died without ever finding the man responsible for this burden, Mugelin's father left his son in a state of quiet acceptance.
Mugelin, with his serene and simple character, viewed his horns not as a symbol of shame but as a distinction among his people. He chose to live in harmony with his heritage, savoring the simple pleasures of life. A passionate fisherman, he spent his days by the water, where he felt the freest. He was particularly proud of his fishing skills and enjoyed sharing his most extraordinary catches with his community. Always by his side, in a large vial attached to his belt, swam Capri, his favorite fish.
The villagers had mixed opinions about him. Some mocked his horns and the story of his grandfather, while others respected Mugelin's courage in accepting his appearance and his past.
Thus, Mugelin Rivarn lived peacefully, little affected by the opinions of others, sharing his passion for fishing and stories with Capri. Transforming a curse into a source of pride, he chose to embrace the simplicity of life and prove that one can live in peace with their past while forging a bright future.
